Prashant, we’re hosting Mother’s Day today. Turkey, stuffing, salad, mashed potatoes, dinner rolls, and a couple of surprises make up the menu. Desserts are lemon cake and chocolate cake.
Patti, Diane will be working to put on this Mother’s Day dinner. I plan to take Diane out to dinner later this week. Diane’s mother can’t leave the house now so Diane has to bring the party to her.
We usually do our Mother’s Day dinner on the Saturday night before because restaurants are so crowded on Mother’s Day, but a combination of factors and schedules made that impossible so we may just go out for a combo Mother’s/Father’s Day dinner in June. So far, no prezzies, but I’ve been promised gifts after church. I’m grateful both my mother and mother-in-law are still with us and I’m very grateful to be a mom!
Hey, Mother’s Day is a DAY OFF of moms. George, get out there into the kitchen and make that dinner.
Barbara’s daughters usually call (they both did this year), and I usually take her out to breakfast at her favorite breakfast spot, then that’s it, other than she does whatever she feels like. She says that’s the same as every day, since she’s retired. If it’s sunny, she may sit on the deck and read, I’ve made some iced tea. Yesterday she did a 5K and is a little leg sore today.
Nice one, George! Some days are always more important than others.

Sounds perfect. Count me in!
Jeff, there’s always room for you and Jackie, too!
I’ll certainly try to have a Superman mother’s day. I hope you do, too.
Bob, there was a Super Girl, too!
Best wishes to Diane for a happy day.

Happy Mothers Day to Diane and all the other mothers out there.
Jeff, many thanks. I’ll pass your kind words on to Diane.
George, I hope everyone in your life has a happy Mother’s Day.
What time should we be over for dinner?
Jerry, 4 P.M. and there’s always a place for you!

Rick, Happy Mother’s Day to Barbara!
And Superdog, Superbaby, Superboy, and maybe a cat and chimp. They were into branding before it became endemic.
Bob, the technical term is “Brand Extension.”
