Diane would leave the Christmas tree up all year round if she didn’t think our neighbors would think we were weird, Jeff. It’s a sad day when Diane and I take take the tree down and box up all the ornaments and Christmas knick-knacks.
We get a real tree, and when it starts to get dry it gets un-decorated and out it goes. We’re cutting it up a little each week for the compost bin. Or this year we may donate it for Coho Salmon habitat. Either way, it’s gone and all the decorations about the house are packed away. They come out this coming December 8th or so. I assume you, George, have an “artifice” tree, one of those green plastic things. Oh my. Not that there aren’t some pretty good looking ones out there, I guess.
Our allergist recommended we go “artificial” on Christmas trees, Rick. When Diane and I take down the tree, Diane still leaves the many snowmen knick-knacks out until Spring arrives.
Welcome back! And indeed, HNY!
Thanks, Todd! Same to you! Sorry the blog took an unscheduled trip to Peru for a day or so!
Ah, you’re back. Great. I have been assigned by my spouse to TAKE DOWN THE LIGHTS! today. Wind is blowing like mad, but up on the roof I go…
Bite your tongue, Rick! It’s Christmas at the Kelley manse until Martin Luther King Day!
Are you kidding? There are people around here who leave some of their decorations up year round.
Be careful up there, Rick! We don’t want another hospital report.

A few days late, but Happy New Year to you and yours George. Hope 2013 is treating you well thus far.
Other than my blog disappearing for a day and being hit by an Arctic blast of frigid temperatures, Carl, 2013 is full of hope!
