Same to you. I see Diane is ready to celebrate. Have a good one but be careful of the deep freeze.
It makes me laugh when the forecasters down here in South Florida carry on about the “arctic blast” that will take us down to the 40s at night. They don’t know what cold is!
Jeff, we’re going down to -35 degree wind chills tomorrow. We’re hunkering down. One weather guy said Western NY may not get about 32 degrees until March.
My husband and I are going to dinner at La Provence, John Besh’s restaurant here on the Northshore. This past Wednesday was our 26th anniversary, so it’s a combined anniversary/Valentine’s celebration for us. I have my red dress ready (using substantially more material than the model above, however).
Deb, congratulations on your 26th Wedding Anniversary! I’m taking Diane to her favorite restaurant–The Hideaway Grill–where the harpist will be performing as we enjoy a wonderful meal. I usually order their delicious Prime Rib and Diane usually has sometime with chicken in it. Wine, appetizer, and dessert is included in the Valentine’s Day package.
HVD to you, too, George & Diane, and all the bloggers out there who read this and other blogs in the ex-apa family. For Valentine’s day Barbara is going to a beginning knitting class this morning, I’ll be in the yard potting up a couple of things we got yesterday at a local nursery (yes, it’s been quite warm for Feb here and things are acting like Spring, though I fear it may be a false one). Supposed to be high 50s here again today, third week of same. We need rain, and there’s no snow pack.So after dropping off a couple boxes of books at the library used store and swinging by the library, we got a few plants.
No dining plans, but the pizza joint is offering heart-shaped pizza today so maybe that?. Tomorrow is our anniversary, so like Deb we combine, though we agreed this year to skip the cards and dinners and stuff and just be glad for each other.
Patti, I was very very tempted to cancel my Saturday class today. It’s snowing and blowing. Erie County issued a Travel Advisory. It took an hour, but I managed the long trek to downtown Buffalo. I have 14 students in my Saturday class. When I arrived, only one student was in class. Over the next half hour, nine more students drifted in. After an hour, two more students walked in. So out of 14 registered students, 12 showed up on a brutal winter day. And, the students thanked me for showing up! That’s why I’m still teaching.
Why don’t I ever get gifts like this? Anyway, happy V day to you and yours, and by yours I mean Diane.

Bob, there’s Love on every street corner.

There’s romance in the air at the Kelley house!
Jerry, when the outside temperature is -11 degrees, you have to generate some heat inside the house.
Congratulations, Deb. We’ve eaten at a couple of Besh’s places in New Orleans.

Rick, congratulations on your Wedding Anniversary, too! I like the idea of a heart-shaped pizza!
Have a lovely day, George. You deserve it.

The trouble with that love on every street corner is that it’s too expensive and might lead to and STD.
Bob, everything comes with a price.
