I’m always on the lookout for low-carb food that tastes good. Imagine my surprise when I stumbled across these Healthy Choice Premium Fudge Bars. The Fudge Bars are only 80 calories. They’re listed at 13 mg of carbohydrate but the Fudge Bar has 4 grams of fiber so the net carbs are only 9 mg! And these Fudge Bars have a rich, creamy flavor! Yum! There’s only l.5 mg of fat per bar! This is one time where the health choice is Healthy Choice!
There are some good ones from Skinny Cow too for about 100 calories.
I’ll have to look for those Skinny Cow treats, Patti. Thanks for the heads up!
We used to eat these and the Skinny Cow bars (they used to have a peanut butter one) but have since moved on to Klondike (formerly Slim ‘a Bear), 100 calorie Chocolate Fudge bars. They do have 3 grams of fat but also have 4 grams of fiber.
As a registered chocoholic, Jackie has pronounced them the creamiest and chocolatiest bars out there. I believe they’re bigger than the Healthy Choice bars too.
You can’t go wrong with any of them so it’s a matter of what tastes best to you. We eat one of these every day.
I’ll seek out those Klondike Chocolate Fudge Bars, Jeff. They sound yummy!
Klondike Slim-a-Bear – Jackie says they are not in all areas of the coutnry. My mother couldn’t find them in Arizona but I’d think the Northeast might have them.
Plenty of items, especially food items, never make it to Western NY, Jeff. Distribution is sketchy up here.
George, we jsut got back from Costco where they were selling a box of 18 of your Healthy Choice bars for $8.99. Good price!
Diane and I picked up that same box of 18 Healthy Choice Premium Fudge Bars at BJ’s Warehouse for the same $8.99. A bargain!
What the Weight Watchers point count on these, George? Any idea?
Zero, Rick.
How many calories?
George’s fudge bars are 3.o ounces and 80 calories.
The Klondikes are 3.5 ounces and 100 calories.
Rick, I don’t know about George’s fudge bars but that’s the beauty of the Klondike bars: on the “old” Weight Watchers diet (the one Jackie still follows) they are only 1 point. (She thinks they are 2 points on the “new” diet.)
The best one is a mint, chocolate truffle one. Really excellent and not too small for 100 calories.
Is that Healthy Choice, Patti, because it sounds right up Jackie’s alley.
Can’t be zero points, and Jeff, we’re on the “new” one, which at least makes fruit free.
I thought fudge bars were “fruit,” Rick.
