I’m a huge fan of Ray Kurzweil’s brilliant The Singularity is Near where Kurzweil really explores the implications of technology. In this new book, Kurzweil says the human-machine civilization is upon us. When I see people walking around wearing Google Glasses I’m sure Kurzweil is right. Kurzweil shows how the brain functions, how our minds emerge, and the potentials of brain-computer interfaces. If you want to read about where this renowned futurist thinks we’re going, How to Create a Mind is worth your time and attention. GRADE: A

I’m too old to worry or care about any of this, and I don’t have enough reading time to bother, but you seem to enjoy it so what the hey.
Bob, Kurzweil thinks anti-aging technology is right around the corner. We may be able to turn back the clock!
I left a long, clever comment only to have it erased by a MUST UPDATE SOFTWARE RIGHT NOW NO EXCEPTIONS!! popup in the middle of the screen and now said comment is gone – though laptop is happy, apparently – and I’m not even sure what my oh so clever, cerebral comment was so this is all you get from me today I guess.
I really dislike cranky software, Rick!
I’m sure they’ll perfect anti-aging technology the day after I die.
Bob, that’s the same thought I had! Great minds think alike.
