Sigur Ros is a band from Iceland. Their music is most often termed “alternative.” Sometimes they sing in Icelandic, sometimes in a made-up language. Either way, Sigur Ros music is unique. I love the otherworldly sound of their songs. This 2-CD set presents their concert in London at Alexandra Palace. The Blu-ray provides the video to the concert. Both the CDs and the Blu-ray sound great! Another great stocking stuffer! Check out the video below. GRADE: A
They make very pretty music. Very relaxing.
You’re right, Patti. And this new set features Sigur Ros’ best work.
Isn’t Icelandic a “made up language”?
😉
Good point, Jeff.
“I don’t like to get too mellow. I tend to ripen and rot.”
–Woody Allen, ANNIE HALL
Seriously, I enjoyed it too.
I’m hoping more Woody Allen movies show up in Blu-ray, Jeff. I still haven’t seen a few of his movies from the 1980s. Diane and I were busy with little Patrick and little Katie.
Meh.
If I ever see a music video that somehow relates to the song I’ll die from shock.
It’s called ART, Bob.
Saw the film in the local theater this evening. really enjoyed it. thanks for the recommendation.
Glad to be of service, Scott.
