JACKSONVILLE JAGUARS VS. BUFFALO BILLS [ESPN]

The Buffalo Bills flew to London, England to take on the Jacksonville Jaguars in a morning game. Kickoff is at 9:30 A.M. E.S.T. The Bills are 5 1/2 point favorites. The Jaguars played the Atlanta Falcons in London last week (and won 23-7). So the Jaguars are adapted to the English surroundings and the five-hour difference. The Bills arrived Friday morning and have only had a couple of days to deal with Jet Lag and London’s atmosphere. The playing time temperature will be 71 degrees. Here in Western NY, the temps are in the low 50s. How will your favorite NFL team do today?

The 2-2 (a record that could easily be 0-4, given that the two wins were squeakers that could have gone either way) Saints journey to Boston to take on the 1-3 Patriots. I don’t know if I’m in the mood to watch another poorly played game after seeing the Dodgers meltdown last night and lose to the Diamondbacks 11-2 in the first game of the National League Division Championship series. Oh God, that was painful to watch!

Deb, the Jags vs. Bills game was painful to watch, too. The Bills looked like they were sleepwalking through this game. Too many injuries and penalties!

George, sounds a lot nicer in London than it is here. And I bet the Bills will have a better time (even though it is 11-0 Jacksonville at the moment) than the pathetic Giants will do in Miami. No matter how well their defense plays against the speedy Dolphins, their offensive line couldn’t stop a high school team.

I used to look forward to the London NFL games, so I could get a glimpse at My Favorite City on the planet. The network used to send an extra crew to go around London, show the sights, and drop into pubs to interview the natives (preferably with thick Cockney accents) and ask what they thought of American football. Those days are gone, it’s just another game, apart from stock London tourist shots at commercial breaks. Including, alas, that damned ferris wheel, which is still an abomination. Rough start for the Bills. Good luck in the 2nd half.

Art, things did not get much better in the Second Half for the Bills. The Bills lost in 2015–34-31 to the Jags–the last time they played in London.

Lions won handily, the Saints shut out New England, the Giants…well, as expected, plus Daniel Jones got hurt.

I’m late to the party but I was shocked–SHOCKED!–at the Bills’ loss! It’s a bye week for the Seabirds but I had a few enjoyable moments! Like the Lions, Jets, and KC victories!
Saturday was even better: I won over $2400 at the Muckleshoot Casino!!! The slot machine I played is called Buffalo!
