Queen Latifah plays a physical therapist who loves the New Jersey Nets. When her favorite Nets player is injured in an All-Star game, Queen Latifah works to get the superstar ready to perform in the playoffs. Of course, love enters the picture and romantic complications ensue. Just Wright is a routine, predictable romantic comedy. What lifts it above mediocrity is Queen Latifah’s radiant presence. If you like Queen Latifah (and I do), you’ll like this movie. GRADE: B
I like her too George, but no way I’d pay to see this. I’m sure Jackie will watch it when it comes on HBO.
The Regal Theaters’ reward card gives free tickets after you’ve seen a certain number of movies, Jeff. So, we saw JUST WRIGHT with some freebies. You’re right: wait for HBO.
Don’t be fooled. She’s not really a queen. Worse,Butterfly McQueen was neither a queen nor a butterfly. More Hollywood hijinks.
Queen Latifah was queen of the women rappers, Bob. Now, she’s a movie star.
We saw IRON MAN 2 today. My rating: not nearly as good as the first one. To me Sam Rockwell was channeling Dana Carvey (I kept expecting him to say “wouldn’t be prudent” in his Poppy Bush voice) and was jsut annoying without being funny.
The best scene by far was Scar Jo kicking ass.
I want Scarlett to get a Black Widow movie all to herself, Jeff!
Queen of the Rappers. In my world that’s like being the world’s nastiest smell. Not a fan of the genre at all.
Perhaps that’s why Queen Latifah left the world of rapping and became a movie star, Bob.
