After the debacle in the Meadowlands on Monday Night football, the 0-1 Buffalo Bills face the 1-0 Raiders with Bills fans fired up for the Home Opener with hopes of redemption. The Bills are inexplicable 9 1/2 point favorites. How will your favorite NFL team perform today?
After last week’s nail-biting game where neither team acquitted themselves with glory, and the Saints ended up winning by one point, the Boys in Black & Gold travel to North Carolina to take on the 0-1 Panthers. That is this week’s Monday Night Football game, so I have no skin in any football game today.
Deb, the Panthers are going to struggle with their rookie QB for most of this season. I think the Saints will go 2-0 after tomorrow night.
After last week’s embarrassing debacle vs. the Cowboys, this is as close as a must win game there is for the Giants, traveling to Arizona to face the Cardinals. Will they win? Possibly, but I sure wouldn’t bet on it.
Jeff, the Cardinals may be the worst team in the NFL right now. But, on any given Sunday…
They won, which helps the Seahawks.
Bob, the Seahawks are going to surprise some teams. The Lions should have won that game.
Also, Happy Birthday to Jackie, who is a little sensitive about which birthday this is.
Jeff, tell Jackie “Happy Birthday” from us!
Happy 29th birthday, Jackie! You look beautiful at any age, my dear!
Half time. Looking OK for the Bills (I’m watching the whole game in lieu of Redzone). Josh Allen got a lot of flak from the Talking Heads last week for being too reckless; some of that but maybe moderated the gunslinger somewhat. Looking forward to Niners in LA next.
Art, amazing what can result when you don’t turn the ball over FOUR TIMES! Diane and I prefer the 38-10 result to that mess on MNF.
While we were eating, the restaurant had the Bills game on – the Giants start at 4 and the Jets at 4:30 – and so far, so good.
Jeff, the Bills played the kind of game we hoped for MNF: no turnovers and Josh Allen under control. Go Giants!
Yeah, they were a different team in the second half.
Jeff, the Raiders ran for the bus in the Second Half.
