I really enjoyed watching Law & Order, Season One last year. I was browsing AMAZON and Law & Order, Season Two appeared…for $10! The list price is $39.98 so this qualifies as a bargain in my book. You get over 10 hours (13 episodes) of the best of Law & Order translated into the British justice system (Season Two includes Series 3 and Series 4 in the UK). The cast is excellent. Bonus features include interviews with the cast and crew, gag reel, press interviews, and “behind the scenes” featurettes. Highly recommended! GRADE: A
I’m a big fan of the original and the UK franchise too – and I’ve only been hit by cases of ‘deja vous’ a couple of times, which I think is pretty impressive. I have yet to see some of the other local iterations (apparently including Russia and France).
I must admit I’ve never seen an episode of this but you’re right – for $10 how can you go wrong?
Sergio, I haven’t hit any deja vous episodes so far (even though I know the UK episodes were based on U.S. ones). But I find the acting and production way above average. I’ll be buying SEASON THREE when it comes out.
Jeff, $10 is a steal for this great series. You and Jackie would really enjoy these episodes!
$10 buys me a box of ripe, delicious fresh strawberries, which I’d rather have than a DVD set that I’d likely never get around to watching. That is the reason we stopped buying DVDs: we never seem to watch them!
Rick, I try to watch 1 DVD each night. I guess I’m Old School because I like to own DVDs and Blu-rays. The DVDs and Blu-rays that I think I won’t view again I donated to the Library…and get a nice tax break.
We don’t buy them because we have netflix. I think it may be on there though. Will check it out.
Patti, I’m sure LAW & ORDER UK is available on Netflix. If you have BBC America on your cable system, check out ON DEMAND and you’ll find a ton of episodes for free.
