Sony brought out a few Robin Hood DVDs in conjunction with the new Russell Crowe film, David. I don’t think I’ve seen SWORDS OF SHERWOOD FOREST so I ordered it from AMAZON.
SWORD OF SHERWOOD FOREST includes Merry Men that are an impressive Who’s Who of British supporting talent, Drongo, including Niall MacGinnis (Curse of the Demon) as Friar Tuck, Nigel Green (Zulu) as Little John, Desmond Llewelyn (Q from the Bond films). Peter Cushing is the villainous Sheriff of Nottingham. Cushing is always fun, as is a young Oliver Reed, who has a minor role as a vicious lord.
Looks like plenty of fun reading adn watching there, George. When will you find the time, especially the watching, which you can’t do 10 times as fast as the rest of us?
Thanks for stopping by and love the spread on your blog. Have to get the first Scott Turow
Presumed Innocent. Will look to see if you’ve done a review for the first one before I BUY IT .
Have to say I was a big fan of the XMen Marvel comic series way back when. I loved the characters and the movies did have some strong points. I still hesitate to think of Hugh Jackman as Wolverine since the original comic portrayed as small in stature yet heavily laden with muscles… Imagine a greenless Hulk.
I’ll be back to catch your reviews and Glee is spurring back the musical feeling of the 50’s (minus Highschool Musical effect!).
Looking forward to your thoughts on the Richard Greene series.

I make liberal use of the FF button, Rick. I fly through the flora and the fauna. I race through the credits.
So you only watch scenes of interest. You skim. That must be what you do when you read, too.
I do skim flora and fauna sections in books, too, Rick. Once you’ve read one description of a flower or a tree, you’ve read them all.
Robin Hood with a Hammer films slant sounds very cool. Great choice.
I’m looking forward to watching SWORD OF SHERWOOD FOREST, Evan. It’s only $8 from AMAZON.
