Bob, I wanted to make this year’s MEMORIAL DAY a special one for the women who served our country, Of course, I also honor the men who–like you–served.
It’s a solemn commemoration, so I won’t wish anyone a “happy” day. I’m thankful that my sister (25 years in the USAF, now retired) is still with us, so I don’t have to “memorialize” her, but I thank all veterans for their service and honor those who are no longer with us.
And while you’re remembering and honoring women, give a nod to the men who lost their lives in service to their country!

Today is for observing those who died! Veterans Day is for those who served!
Bob, thanks for that clarification. I think we mix the two days together.
Wishing you and Diane a meaningful holiday.
Jerry, it’s raining cats-and-dogs here today, but Diane and I made “indoor plans.” Hope you and your family have a meaningful holiday, too!

Deb, well said! A Special Thanks to your sister and all the other women who served our country! (And the men, too!)
