Home improvements continue at the Kelley Chateau. Diane is pondering new countertops for our kitchen. But our leaky old kitchen faucet took priority. Our fix-it guy came over, scoped out the job, and then it was off to Home Depot. Diane picked out the Moen Chateau Chrome kitchen faucet because it was almost identical to the old faucet. It works exactly the same way. Our fix-it guy also installed some shut-off valves as part of the installation. That way, we don’t have to turn off all the water in our house if there’s a future problem with the kitchen faucet. The battle against entropy continues…

The Kelleys – Doing Their Part (and yours) to Stimulate the Economy
(Bravo bravo)
😉
Whenever one of these projects come up Jackie answers any objection by saying “We have DI” – DI being Disposable Income.
(Of course, we got a new sink (not just the faucet, out whole sink was ancient) and a new countertop and had our cabinets redone while we were in Florida (i.e. DI) this winter.
We’re doing our part too.
I suspect Diane is planning a bigger kitchen remodeling project in the months ahead, Jeff. But the leaky faucet just had to go NOW! Between the Kelleys and the Meyersons, the economy should be in Recovery Mode! We like to spend our Disposable Income. We have friends who just sit on their money.
I wish I had money to sit on. Sigh.
I like Moen’s entire faucet line. I saw a beautiful one in a sink at a restaurant last week. The water gushed out along an incline like a waterfall. Not very practical for home use, but lovely to behold.
One day, when I win the lottery…
I was surprised at the cost of the Moen faucet at HOME DEPOT, Deb. It was only $79. Of course, that waterfall Moen faucet might cost a bit more.
