NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS VS. BUFFAL BILLS

After a week of High Anxiety as Damar Hamlin dealt with the aftermath of having collapsed during the Monday Night Game in Cincinnati from cardiac arrest, the Bills–now buoyed by Hamlin’s remarkable recovery–face the motivated New England Patriots in the final game of the regular season. The Bills are 7-point favorites, but under the new Goodell Playoff rules, the outcome of this game is virtually meaningless. How will your favorite NFL team do today?

The Saints and Panthers play a meaningless game today…both teams have been eliminated from playoff contention. Ah well, there’s always next season.

Since I am not a footbal fan, I have no skin in this game. BUT, I am from New England. BUT, I have great feeling for the Bills after last week’s incident. Ergo, I want both to win.

Jerry, actually both teams could win: the Bills could win and clinch the #2 Seed in the AFC Playoffs. The Patriots could lose the game, but still make the Playoffs if the Steelers and the Dolphins lose.

The Giants clinched the playoffs as the #6 seed last week, so I expect them to rest key players rather than trying to beat the Eagles today. Next week: back to Minnesota, I believe.

Jeff, I’m sure Daboll and a lat of other coaches are going to rest their players in preparation for next week’s Playoff games.

Jeff, the Packers just fumbled and committed a weird penalty that allowed the Lions to kick a field goal before Halftime. Strange game…
