NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS VS. BUFFALO BILLS [ESPN]

The New England Patriots (8-4) clash with the Buffalo Bills (7-4) in a battle for the leadership of the AFC East. The Bills, surprisingly, are 3-point favorites.

Rain, wind, cold, and snow are in the forecast for this Monday Night Football game on ESPN. With the weather conditions so dicey, I suspect this will be a close, low scoring game. What do you think?

    Go, Bills!

I was pretty sure the Giants would lose yesterday. The Bills need to beat the Patriots at least once, so why not tonight?

Jeff, the winds are howling now and bursts of snow will arrive by game time. Whatever team wins tonight will be lucky given the weather conditions.

We were supposed to have rain and thunderstorms all day today, but so far it is still warm and very humid with some sun and no sign of rain yet. Probably later. Near 80 here. I’ll hate to leave this weather and return to the New York cold tomorrow.

Jeff, I just watched the ESPN crew covering tonight’s Monday Night Football game get buffeted by the high winds in Highmark Stadium. The temperature is supposed to drop 20 degrees by game time! Have a safe trip home!

Monday Night Football seems to have been somewhat eclipsed by the Sunday Night games , but this looks like a great match-up. You can’t go wrong with Bills and Pats and snow.

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow! I miss pro football games where the field is sloppy and the runners slip and slide in the mud for two yards a carry. Is that a grass field?

Rick, I’ve heard athletes debate the grass vs. artificial turf issue. I came away with the notion that neither is superior…it all depends.

Somebody needs a dome! Because the team I pick always loses, I’m throwing my support behind the Pats!

Bob, the Buffalo Bills are planning on building a new stadium. So far, the dome idea has been rejected, but a retractable roof is still on the table.

Drat! My reverse psychology didn’t work!

A retractable roof is as good as a dome! UJust so the weather isn’t a factor in a game!

Bob, weather sure was a factor in the Patriots vs. Bills game. The Bills didn’t take advantage of the opportunities they were given throughout the game. Very frustrating!
