NEW YORK JETS VS. BUFFALO BILLS

The NY Jets vs. Buffalo Bills game has been “flexed” from a 1:00 P.M. kickoff to a 4:30 P.M. kickoff. No matter. It will be rainy and windy whenever they play this game today. If the Bills defeat the Jets–the Bills are 17-point favorites–they become the Champions of the AFC East and get to host a home Playoff game next week. How will your favorite NFL team perform today? Are you happy with this season?

Yes, I’m happy with the season – happy it’s over! The Giants and their idiot coach have stunk the joint out week after week. They will probably end as the same futile losers against Washington today that they were from opening day against Denver to last week’s 29-3 embarrassment in Chicago.

Go, Bills! The Jets are a much more dangerous team than the Giants at this point, but the Bills should win.

Jeff, weather will play a part in this game as temperatures plunge and the winds whip up. If the New England Patriots lose to the Miami Dolphins, the Bills become AFC East Champs win or lose.

The 8-8 Saints journey to Atlanta to take on the 7-9 Falcons today. Amazingly, at 8-8, the Saints are second in the NFC South and, should they win today and the outcome of other games go their way, still have a shot at a Wild Card spot, so naturally I’ll be watching and cheering on the Boys-in-Black-and-Gold. However, this has been pretty much a lost season for the Saints, who lost their starting QB to a torn ACL and never really found their rhythm as a team. It would be nice if they could make the post-season, just to end things on a high note, but either way I see big changes coming to the team before the start of next season.

Deb, I keep hearing rumors that Russell Wilson wants to go the Saints next season. Atlanta gave the Bills some trouble last week–the Falcons led a Half-time 15-14–but faded in the Second Half.

With no team I really care about, I’m just hoping to see some games as good as yesterday’s Chiefs/Broncos game. Hard to believe the Bills will have any trouble with the Jets but I wouldn’t count on the Pats losing to Miami.

With great trepidation. Considering their past meetings, I’ll believe Georgia can beat Nick Saban when I see it happen.

I just saw the lowly Lions beat the Packers, so anything’s possible! Go, Seahawks! Go, Rams! Go, Cards! Go, Dolphins! Go, Jets!

    Go, Bills!

CBS cut away from the last two minutes of overtime in Baltimore for the start of New England at Miami? Can you say “Heidi Game”?

PS – Pittsburgh won, and thanks to Indianapolis tanking in Jacksonville, looks like they are in the playoffs. And Cincinnati blew the #1 seed by losing in Cleveland.

So, if the Bills win today they are the #3 seed and host the Chargers-Raiders winner? Pittsburgh is #7 and plays at Kansas City. That would leave New England at #5, playing in Cincinnati (assuming they win in Miami). But if New England loses today they could fall to #6 and play in Buffalo?
