NFL DIVISIONAL ROUND PLAYOFFS: BALTIMORE RAVENS VS. BUFFALO BILLS (CBS)

The Vegas line on the Ravens vs. Bills game started out with the Bills being a 1-point favorite. Twenty-four hours later, the line shifted to the Ravens being 2-point favorites. Either way, this Playoff game is going to be a close game. The weather will be cold–temps in the teens at game-time–but no snow in the forecast…yet.

The Kansas City Chiefs are 8-point favorites over the Houston Texans. Who do you think will win these games?

The Chiefs and Redskins already won, so my predictions are superfluous! I’m rooting for the Bills on Sunday! I want the Rams to lose!

Um, the Chiefs game was yesterday, right?

It’s the Rams at the Eagles in the early game.

I’m rooting for the Rams and, of course, the Bills, but it won’t be easy.

I wasn’t totally shocked to see the Lions blow it.

Chiefs beat the spread by one point YESTERDAY, George: 23-14 over the Texans. I couldn’t figure out what happened in the last few seconds of the game where Houston got two points on a safety. Did the Chiefs just blow their clock management or did they figure there was no way for the Texans to make up an 11-point deficit and throw them a two-point bone? Either way, as the old saying goes, sometimes it’s better to be lucky than good—and the Chiefs were very lucky in yesterday’s game. The real shock to me was the ineptitude of the Lions: turnovers, fumbles, interceptions. As I said last week regarding the Chargers, sometimes you have to wonder if gambling interests don’t have players’ families tied up in basements somewhere.

As for today’s games, I’m cheering for the Bills, of course, but I think it’s going to be a hard-fought game with a close score. It could all come down to a field goal in the final seconds. I think the Eagles will have an easier time with the Rams, but only time will tell. Anyway, go Bills!

Say it isn’t so. Now I can root for the Eagles, I guess. My doorman is an Eagles fan and I gave him an Eagles sweatshirt Friday. Did that bring the Lions bad luck? Is it all on me?

Well, there’s at least one person on here rooting for the Ravens.

The Chiefs/Texans game wasn’t that interesting, except for Kelce’s excellent game and the referees’ horrible one. The Lions/Commanders (I always want to call them the Commandos) was VERY entertaining. Best player on the field was Lions running back Gibbs, but the turnovers blunted so many drives. Still, a fun game.

Jeff, it’s snowing lightly right now. Temperature is 22 degrees. Light winds. Can’t wait for Kick-off! Jayden Daniels is a Superstar!

Bob, the Bills held Henry to 84 yards in the Playoff game. I count that as part of the win…along with the three Ravens turnovers! Bring on the Kansas City Chiefs!

Post win addendum. Well done Buffalo! Not that I’m claiming any occult powers, but I feel compelled to note that this morning I decided to cook Buffalo wings for dinner, not even thinking about the game at that point. Go get KC!!

Art, thanks for invoking those Buffalo wings to placate the Football Gods! I was tense when that final 2-point conversion was taking place. The slippy football won the game for the Bills!
