Tomorrow night, the abysmal Saints (who, at 4-8, are quickly returning to their pre-Drew Brees moniker of “the Ain’ts”) journey to Tampa to take on the sluggish Buccaneers (who, at 5-6, are leading the NFC South). I’m sure when ESPN was arranging the Monday Night Football schedule, the didn’t expect the December 5 game to feature two teams with losing records, yet here we are.

You NFL junkies are missing the boat. The most interesting football games this weekend were played Friday and Saturday. And I don’t mean the World Cup.

Michael, the World Cup is out of reach for the U.S. Maybe in 20 years or so. Georgia showed the Highest Paid Coach in College Football who was the boss (Brian Kelly’s LSU contract: Six-figure bonuses, two cars, $1.2 million house loan, almost $100 million in value).

The Giants are done licking their wounds from the Thanksgiving Day debacle in Dallas, and if they have any hope of making the playoffs with six games left, they better start by beating Washington this afternoon in the Meadowlands. It’s the first of two games against the former Redskins, and they also have two against the first place Eagles and one against the first place Vikings. I’m once again going with the “do NOT bet on the Giants” advice, though I am hoping for a better effort. Daniel Jones can definitely run against this team, which will help Saqouon Barkley.

Jeff, this Giants vs. Commanders game is a “two-fer”–the winner goes up a game and the loser goes down a game. I think the Giants play the Commanders again in two weeks.

I hope the chiefs and the Rams win, but who knows. It’s sad that a team with a losing season can be first in their division

Maggie, NFL teams with better records won’t make the Playoffs while the winner of the NFC South might get in with a losing record!

What”s the expression – a tie is “like kissing your sister”? Well, the Giants did it. Second tie in the NFFL this season. The last Giants tie was 25 years ago.

At least they didn’t lose, right?

Jeff, you never know if that tie will be the difference in making the Playoffs! With the losses of the Dolphins, Jets, and Chiefs, the Buffalo Bills are now Number One in the AFC!
