NFL WILD CARD WEEKEND, PART ONE: LAS VEGAS RAIDERS VS. CINCINNATI BENGALS, NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS VS. BUFFALO BILLS

Super Wild Card Weekend kicks off with a 4:15 P.M. game on NBC between the Raiders and the Bengals. The Bengals are favored by 5 points. The Raiders won’t like the frigid temperatures in Cincinnati! I think the Bengals will win, but not cover the spread.

The game all Buffalo Bills fans have been waiting for kicks off at 8:15 P.M. on CBS. The Bills are favored by 4 points, but the weather will be arctic with temperatures around ZERO degrees. The Bills should win, but anything can happen in this kind of weather!

Who do you think will win these Playoff games?

We’re cheering for the Bills & Bengals. Ever since Joe Burrow (or, as he’s known down here, “Joe Burreaux”) led LSU to their championship season in 2019, we’ve been following his career. I’ve also been assured by at least one of my LSU-grad daughters that he will one day be my son-in-law, but, as with a similar promise regarding Cody Bellinger, it has not yet come to pass.

    Go Bills!

Deb, the Game Time temperature will be in the single digits. Wind chill temps will approach ZERO during the game. Weather will definitely affect this game!

I am notorious for picking the wrwong teams, but I am definitely going with the Bengals and Bills today.

Did I say, Go, Bills! ?

Wild Card Weekend is nearly always one of the best football weekends of the year, and Pats/Bills could easily be the most exciting game. Is it going to be a snow game, or just cold? We’re even expecting snow in Atlanta tonight and Sunday.

Michael, tonight’s game will be cold. However, a big snowstorm is schedule to hit us on Monday with projections of a foot of snow or more!

Rick, the wind might factor into the Pats vs. Bills game, too. The ground crew is pumping hot air onto the field to prevent it from freezing before kickoff. After that, the turf could be problematic, too.

You and Jeff have proven to be top notch prognosticators! Tomorrow’s games don’t interest me since only one team will be playing that I like, the Chiefs!

Bob, we have a painter coming on Tuesday to paint three bedrooms. Diane and I will be moving stuff out of those rooms today so I won’t be watching much TV.
