Patrick and Katie both have Ninja blenders and love the power and versatility of their units. So when Diane decided to make a Peach Pound Cake which required the peaches to be pureed, our children recommended that we buy a Ninja blender.
Diane and I did some online research and in general the reviews by users of Ninja blenders were positive. However, the problem we encountered was that most of the stores in Western New York didn’t have any Ninja blenders in stock.
Fortunately, when Diane and I were walking around our local Sam’s Club a few days later, Diane spotted a group of Ninja blenders on a shelf in the rear of the store. After examining our choices, Diane decided on the Ninja Professional blender. Other units had more features, more buttons, and more elaborate parts, but Diane just wanted a basic blender. We bought it, took it home, and gave our new Ninja blender a workout. I made a Chocolate Milk Shake…delicious! The next day, Diane pureed the peaches and made the yummy Peach Pound Cake. If you’re looking for a blender, we’d recommend the Ninja Professional. Do you like your blender? GRADE: A
Here in Europe the standard for good kitchen machines of all kind is of course Bosch – Miele is at least as good, but usually much more expensive.
My wife uses more often her small hand held blender because we like it when part of the stuff is still in small pieces and you can see what you’ve blended, not just a mush … 🙂 🙂
Wolf, we love our Bosch dishwasher. I’ve seen Miele appliances but as you say they’re pricey.
Dyslexic me…wondering why you would want a professional ninja bender.
Excuse me. It’s early. I’m going back to bed.
Jerry, who in the world would want an unprofessional Ninja blender???
Way to keep stimulating the economy. If it wasn’t for you and Jackie. we’d be in real trouble.
Let’s see, the last time I used the blender was… can’t remember. It’s been years, I guess.
Jeff, I’m fond of Chocolate Milk Shakes. Diane likes Smoothies so the Ninja Blender will get a good workout in this household.
Don’t know how you can have candy, milk shakes and pizza when you have Diabetes, but lucky you.
Rick, the combination of Lantus, Trulicity, and Invokana keep my glucose levels at acceptable levels. Everything in moderation!
I have a blender but haven’t used it in years. No baking, I guess. Lactose intolerant so no milk shakes.
Lactose intolerance is really ugly. My wife thought she had it too but then it turned out that it was just a body reaction against too many milk products. She was so happy because to almost every Hungarian dish you take some sour cream. So she eats stuff with milk, sour cream, butter, cheese etc for breakfast and lunch – but not for dinner.
Fun fact:
In German we call a blender a Mixer, so that Ninja contraption is a “Standmixer”.
Wolf, we have a lot of kitchen appliances. They’ve come in handy during this Stay-At-Home Pandemic.
Patti, Diane likes smoothies with fruit and no diary. Very tasty!
I’m amazed you didn’t already have a blender! I thought it was a standard appliance everyone had, like a toaster.
Rick, our old blender died a couple years ago. We got by with a hand mixer and Diane’s big KitchenAid stationary mixer. But, having a blender is handy for some things like shakes, smoothies, and puree when baking.
We have a Cuisinart blender / food processor, and like it fine. It doesn’t get a lot of use, but when it’s needed nothing else will do. Does yours also have a shredder/grater attachment?
Rick, we haven’t explored all the additional tools that came with the Ninja Professional blender, but we’ll try them out in the weeks ahead–especially if everything is shut down again.
We have a basic blender (Oster, I think), but I also have a NutriBullet for making smoothies, which works beautifully. I was saving my nickels and dimes for years to buy a VitaMix (the high-end versions are around $700), but every time I had enough set aside, something would happen (car trouble, one if the dogs got sick, etc.) and is have to raid my cache. I think God was sending me a message: you don’t need a $700 blender!
To me those extremely high priced kitchen accessories (which you can buy only from special sources …) seem like a kind of scam.
When housewives are invited for a show of what these machines can do …
Wolf, some people buy those high-end appliances just for show. They never really use them.
Deb, I had a friend who bought a VitaMix as a post-divorce present for herself. She was making some kind of soup in it and the top came off and covered her with hot liquid!
You seem sure that there will be another Covid “second wave” and complete shutdown. Is it schools opening, the anti-maskers, or what?
Rick, all the above. The Second Wave seems to be hitting Europe right now. We’re next.
