Sheryl Sandberg is best known for her best seller, Lean In, which encourages women to be more assertive. Critics of Lean In pointed out that it was easier to “lean in” if you were a billionaire like Sheryl Sandberg (the Chief Operating Officer at FACEBOOK). Shortly after Lean In was published, Sandberg’s husband, Dave Goldberg, collapsed and died in May 2015. Option B shows how Sheryl Sandberg dealt with the surprising death of her husband from a heart attack. Sandberg suddenly had to juggle her job, her grief, and her children alone. Option B focuses on the steps that can help when disaster strikes. I found Option B offering practical advice and a story of success after a devastating event. Inspiring. GRADE: B+

YAWN!
Bob, Sheryl Sandberg’s LEAN IN was both a best seller and a book working women embraced. OPTION B takes on a different set of problems.
Not my cup of tea.
Steve, Sheryl Sandberg focuses on surviving the death of a spouse. Despite her billion dollars, the process wasn’t easy.
I always wonder how these people can pull themselves out of the depths of grief to turn out a book. A year isn’t long enough to get much insight and she must have started writing this almost immediately after his death.
Patti, Sheryl Sandberg started coping strategies just days after her husband’s death. I’m sure the journal she kept formed the spine of this book.
Not interested in self-help books.
Rick, this isn’t exactly a self-help book. It’s more of a coping book when disaster enters your Life.
Two kinds of books I don’t buy or read: self-help and diets! Maybe that’s why I’m fat and helpless!
Bob, Art Scott and Bruce Taylor send there regards. We had a wonderful dinner with those rogues!
Are they out there for B’con? Tell them I said hey!
Bob, Bruce doesn’t go to BOUCHERCONS anymore. Art Scott is going to do a slide show at the 50th BOUCHERCON in Dallas in a couple of years.
And I realized hours after my comment that there is no B’con at this time of year! What a maroon!
Bob, Diane and I will be going to the BOUCHERCON in October in Toronto. Next year’s BOUCHERCON is in Florida and we haven’t made up our minds about that one yet.
