I’m looking forward to tonight’s opening episode! ORPHAN BLACK revolves around a group of clones (all played wonderfully by Tatiana Maslany). The convoluted plots increased last season to the point of confusion. More secrets bring more clones. This is a series you have to watch from the beginning episode or you’ll be lost. Fortunately, AMAZON is offering Season One of Orphan Black for free. If you’re not addicted by the end of Season One, this isn’t the series for you.
I agree, season two was a big mess compared to the great first season. I’m hoping this year gets back on track. Of course, now we have a whole new set of clones to deal with. They need to give Allison more to do this year, and unleash Helena on some people who need to die.
Jeff, I completely agree with your analysis. This is a case where “less is more.” I don’t need more clones. I want to see Allison and Helena kick some ass!
I’m not familiar with the show or the plot, but I will say everyone in the picture looks really unhappy. And they’re all clones? Why? Plus you say it’s confusing. I’ll pass.
Rick, Maslany gives virtuoso performances by playing all the female clones. It’s a scandal that she hasn’t won an EMMY yet. The weak point of ORPHAN BLACK is the writing. They need to recruit writers from AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D or MAD MEN to keep all the story lines straight.
Rick, they aren’t all clones but the ones played by Maslany are – including #3 and 5 from the left and the one with the wine glass on the right.
Don’t get HBO. Wouldn’t watch it if I did since one of the cast members is in the Scientology Organized Crime Family.
Bob, ORPHAN BLACK is on BBC America. And, of course, AMAZON Prime.
Whatever. The standard remains.
