I’m always on the lookout for healthy, good-tasting food (the two don’t always have to be mutually exclusive). I happened on Gardein Chipotle Black Bean Burgers when I cashed in a BJ’s Warehouse coupon. For a pittlely amount of money, I had a dozen yummy veggie burgers. I nuked a couple of these burgers with some mozzarella cheese on top and I finished it off with some Tostitos Extra Hot Salsa.

Exactly, Jeff! And the burgers taste great!
When this diet ends, I will try them.
Patti, I think you’ll like these tasty burgers. Just be prepared to doctor them. They’re pretty blah if you eat them plain.
My brother doesn’t eat meat (he used to be a vegetarian but does eat fish now) and he’s been eating these for years. The secret is indeed to spice them up.
Most vegetables are bland, Jeff. But a little cheese and some salsa can transform even the most boring broccoli into something that tastes wonderful!
“yummy veggie burger” is an oxymoron.
This actually sounds like it might be good – especially the way you prepared it.
Nothing turns me off a vegetable more than calling it a veggie. Hate that useage.
Beth, these burgers with some cheese and salsa are delicious!
Steve, I suspect it’s just marketing that came up with “veggie.” I’ll try to stay away from that term.
It amazes me how much vegan/vegetarian food is becoming more mainstream. Wegmans recently added a line of Wegmans’ brand vegan meat called “Don’t Have A Cow” and “Don’t Be Chicken,” as well as vegetarian veggie burgers. (http://www.wegmans.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?storeId=10052&catalogId=10002&langId=-1&partNumber=COLLECTION_29716) Also, the winner of this season’s Cupcake Wars was a vegan bakery. I am happy to say that it looks like your prediction of reduced meat consumption might be right, Dr. Kelley. Even Bill Gates is pushing for meat alternatives! Lauren, the rising prices of meat will force people to turn to alternatives like vegetables.
