SAN FRANCISCO 49ers VS. SEATTLE SEAHAWKS, NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS VS. DENVER BRONCOS

san francisco vs. seatle
new england vs. denver

In their second game this season (aka, “The Real Super Bowl”) Brady and Manning face each other again. Denver is favored by 5 1/2 points, but don’t make the mistake of counting New England out. The Patriots have been winning with smoke and mirrors all season long. They lost their two tight ends, they have crappy wide receivers, they’ve become a running team. No matter. The Patriots find a way to win. This game should be fun to watch.

Sorry Niner fans, I think Seattle will win this game. Seattle impresses me as the best team in the NFL. They are very tough to defeat on their home field. If any team can do it, it could be the Niners. But that would be a huge upset. The Seahawks are favored by 3 1/2 points. I’m going with the Seattle Seahawks vs. New England Patriots in the Super Bowl February 2.

I don’t like to make predictions but I hope you’re right. My heart is with Seattle and Neww England. I probably won’t even watch a Geldings/Neeners Superbowl.

I agree with you about the Patriots but I’m not convinced on the Seahawks. The Niners have won 8 straight and the Seahawks proved they are not invincible at home. On the other hand, I was extremely impressed with the Seattke defense last week. If they can control Kaepernick…I guess I’d give them a small edge.

For once I think the NFL’s four best teams are still standing in the Championship games.

Obviously, it’s SEAHAWKS all the way here. I agree with Jeff’s insightful comments on the NFC game, it will be all about defense and if Russell can make some big pass plays. . I’ll watch the AFC game with interest, and we’ll probably root for Denver just because Barbara lived there for years + Manning went to Tennessee, where my brother was a professor at the time (now retired). Tenuous, I agree, but ya gotta root for someone, right?

Broncos it is. Seahawks look lousy but have just pulled ahead in the 4th qtr. I wonder why Deb hasn’t commented, and why so many things upset Cap’n Bob.

I demand perfection in everyone and everything, Rick, except me of course. That’s why I seem so upset. But THE SEAHAWKS WON so I’m quite happy. I’m not happy about the Geldings. If Brady could have hit his open receivers in the first half it would have been a different game.
