For that Bruce Springsteen fan on your gift list, here’s the perfect present: a music documentary full of great music and rare footage of the Boss in action. Bonus Material includes “Thunder Road,” “Because the Night,” Shackled And Drawn,” “We Are Live,” “When I saw Her Standing There” (with Paul McCartney) and “Twist and Shout” (with Paul McCartney). If you’re a Springsteen fan, you’ll love this!
Another icon I rate as good but not great.
Bob, I admire Springsteen’s music and work-ethic. All of his concerts are over three hours. The Boss is a worker.
I like some of his songs like “Streets of Philadelphia” though, in India, he is most popular for “Dancing in the Dark.”
Prashant, I was hooked on Springsteen with “Born to Run.”
Dancing in the Dark is certainly one of his most romantic.
Patti, “Fire” is pretty romantic, too.
Paul MacCartney and Bruce Springsteen together??? I wish I could get in a time machine and travel back to my childhood and then to early adulthood and tell my younger selves that one day my biggest pop culture crushes would perform together. As it is, sans time machine, I’ll just have to put this on the Christmas wish list.
Deb, hope you enjoy SPRINGSTEEN & I as much as I did!
I like Bruce as a person and how much he gives back and I like some of his music but overall, I’m with The Cap’n.
Jeff, I think Springsteen’s best music happened in the Seventies.
I loved “Born to Run” too, but within a few songs I lost interest. This one is definitely not for me.
Rick, Bruce Springsteen fans will love SPRINGSTEEN & I. Casual fans…not so much.
I’ll be adding this to my list.
Thanks, George.
Beth, I’m sure you’ll get a kick out of SPRINGSTEEN & I. Glad to see you back online!
For some reason, never warmed to Bruce and his work. An isolated song here and there, but I’ve never felt the need to buy any of his music.
