Just a few days ago, our temperatures were in the 70s. Then, this crazy weather surprised us by dropping five inches of snow on us. Plus Arctic temperatures that felt like ZERO! It was time to fire up Big Orange and snowblow the driveway and all the neighborhood sidewalks.
How’s the weather in your neighborhood?
A little wet but mostly fine! I don’t get out much but when I do I wear shirts, no jacket! Snow is pretty but I’ve had my fill of it!
Bob, we had a couple of big Snow events this Winter and then abnormally warm temperatures. Our average Winter snowfall is 90 inches of snow. We’re at 70 inches right now.
NOOO!!!!!
I missed that event. If South Florida we went from 90 (a rarity this year) to 72 in one day. Friday was a miserable, rainy and windy day (I notice the storm went to New York on Saturday), but it is nice again now. Jackie is worried about cold weather when we get home next weekend, but no show!
Jeff, expect some rain when you return to NYC. I think this is going to be the last of snow until next Fall.
Here in Louisiana, we had a couple of days last week that were fairly cold for this time of year by southern standards (lows in the high-30s), plus a lot of rain (definitely not unusual here for any time of year), but now our temperatures are inching up (mid-70s) with sunny skies and relatively low humidity. Better enjoy it now, in a few weeks we’ll be close to 90 with the air feeling like a hot wet blanket.
Deb, we’re expecting “Wet Blanket” weather this summer as all the forecasts are calling for high temps in July and August.
We had the snow too. Quite a surprise also. Was hoping I wouldn’t have to try my luck on ice again but….
Patti, we’ve had plenty of car accidents as the roads froze and the icy conditions sent plenty of vehicles into the ditches. I can’t understand why some people drive FASTER when it is snowy and icy!
Beautiful weather here in my bed with the covers pulled over my head and the electric blanket on. I don’t need Big Orange!
Jerry, I won’t need Big Orange for many months if the weather guessers are correct: out times will soar into the 50s and all the snow will melt in a few days!
Torrential rain longer than predicted yesterday….mostly nice today.
Todd, the Eastern Seaboard seems to get hit by a rain storm every week!
We got several inches of snow as well.
I feared for my plants, which are already coming up.
Most of the snow is now gone, with temps in the 30s.
Winter in Wisconsin!
Beth, the sun is bright and the temps are headed into the 40s today, with 50s later in the week. I think Winter is actually over here, hopefully.
