TENNESSEE TITANS VS. BUFFALO BILLS (CBS)

With the 23-20 win over the NY Jets on Monday Night Football, the 4-2 Bills are 8 1/2 point favorites over the 1-4 Tennessee Titans. The weather in Western NY is unusually warm and mild! Game Time conditions will be 70 degrees and sunny with 5 mph winds. The Bills should win this game, but in the NFL, You Never Know.

How will your favorite NFL do today?

After another debacle of a loss (33-10 to the Broncos) this past Thursday, the now 2-5 Saints slowly sink in the NFC South. Mercifully, they will not play again until next Sunday. Meanwhile, I’ll be watching the Dodgers and Mets tonight—hoping that the Boys in Blue can pull out a victory to win the NLCS.

You mean, The Boys in Blue AND ORANGE, right?

I suppose most of America (those who care anyway) will be happy with a Yankees-Dodgers World Series rather than another Subway Series. I’m just happy the Yankees are finally back in the Series after 15 long years. And, obviously, I am hoping the Mets win tonight and they have to go to a seventh game tomorrow, which goes to extra innings and uses every pitcher on both teams.

Jeff, you’re right about the Baseball Public wanting a Yankees-Dodgers World Series. But I would prefer a Subway Series. Go Giants!

The Yankees and Dodgers played in 7 World Series when the Dodgers were in Brooklyn – 1941-1947-1949-1952-1953-1955 and 1956. The Yankees won them all except for 1955.

Since then, the Dodgers have won in 1963 and 1981, the Yankees in 1977 and 1978.

Deb, the Saints must lead the NFL in injuries. Their first two games showed they can score…if they have healthy players. I know all NFL have injured players, but the Saints are decimated in critical areas.

If I have to comment, see the previous weeks. The Giants still suck, although not as badly as sometimes, but until they prove they can beat the Eagles (or Cowboys), assume they will lose, even with Malik Nabers back.

Whatever was wrong with the Eagles, the Giants cured it as I expected. At least the Bills woke up.

Jeff, the Bills looked like sleepwalkers in the first Half. But, when they woke up in the Second Half, they scored 27 straight points!

I’ve had to keep eyes on Bills via Red Zone in the early games. They’re now up 17 in the 4th quarter, so looks like a win. Meanwhile the Niners will be playing KC in a Superbowl rematch & I expect the result will be the same. If the Mets don’t stage a legendary comeback, I’ll have watched my last baseball of the season. Hated Yankees since I was a kid in Cleveland, & ditto the Dodgers since I moved to SF area. A plague on both of them . . .

Alice has gotten back on the NFL tackling dummy due to Mahomes and the Chiefs [sic] and the desire to see Brady knocked off his deflated perch…they are almost won as I type.

I’m happy enough getting my Jericka Duncan and Weijia Jiang fix online from CBS WEEKEND NEWS, as the feeds are pre-empted by head injuries on this coast. (I have a creeping suspicion that woman anchors and chief reporters are the reason CBS daily series are coming in third…more fools, the Nielsen viewers.)

We discussed this briefly some time back, when a local pol got in long-delayed trouble, and a young Duncan had briefly interviewed him on archive footage from the time he was first suspected of impropriety, and it got some national replay.

Duncan has always been good, and Jiang always at least professional and usually good.

Todd, CBS has announced Norah O’Donnell is leaving the CBS EVENING NEWS after the Election. John Dickerson will be behind the desk with a co-host. Could it be Duncan or Jiang?
