In the future, machines called Terminators seek to eliminate Humanity. But, the macines are defeated by humans led by John Connor. Yet the machines try another desperate strategy: they use Time Travel to send a Terminator back in time to kill John Connor’s mother (so Conner is never born). That was the plot of the first Terminator movie. But, that attempt on Sarah Conner creates a fractured timeline that threatens the future. Terminator Genisys is a “reboot” of the Terminator series. The threat of murderous machines from the Future has fascinated me from the beginning of this franchise. I’ll be seeing Terminator Genisys tonight. Do you have a favorite Terminator movie?
Definitely the second in the series.
There’s a rumor on the net that the physical look of the Terminator was based on you, George–is it true?
Dan, only if the Terminator morphs into someone who is short and chubby.
Yes, the second. Haven’t seen any since the first two.
Patti, I have High Hopes for this “reboot” of the Terminator series. I’m sure the theater will be crowded tonight.
Terminator 2. But the first one was great too, in its own way, thanks to Arnold and scenes that have become part of the culture.
We’ll be seeing this soon, but not this week. First it’s the dinosaurs.
Jeff, I’m debating about seeing TERMINATOR GENSYS in 2D or 3D or IMAX.
I’m afraid I’m not much of a fan of the Terminator films. I watched the first one and about half of the second and gave it up.
Rick, I’m interested to see how the director and producers have planned their “reboot” of the franchise.
The first two remain my favorites, and I would be hard pressed to choose one over the other. Together they function as a really good time travel SF flick, and it has been far too long since I’ve watched either of them.
Carl, I would give the edge to TERMINATOR 2. But the first TERMINATOR movie was terrific.
Seems the movie tanked if you believe this comment:

Wolf, TERMINATOR GENISYS was a disappointment.
