Love this although my wrists now protest at holding a book this large.
I missed that one. I’ve read some of the stories but this one looks worth reading.
I’ve read other Christmas collections – CHRISTMAS STALKINGS and Otto’s CHRISTMAS AT THE MYSTERIOUS BOOKSHOP for two – but not this.
Patti, you can always go with the ebook version of THE BIG BOOK OF CHRISTMAS MYSTERIES.
Jeff, Otto’s latest Christmas anthology contains the most holiday stories of any collection I know of.
George, shame on you suggesting to Patti she buy an e-book! Booksellers and publishers, especially this time of year, need support for REAL, ink-on-paper books.
I may pick this one up later today, I’ll be near a B&N.
Yes, you’re right, if someone can’t physically handle a big book, the e-book option may make sense. By the way, how’s the weather there? Big Orange been getting lots of use?
Rick, I just fired up Big Orange and cleared a couple of inches of nuisance snow from my driveway and sidewalks. We in for another shot of snow this weekend: six inches or more!
We had a little yesterday but it wasn’t nearly enough to give Big Orange a workout – only about an inch and a half in the city.
Guess what? B&N didn’t have it in stock, but “we’ll order it for you”. That’s the same thing they told me the last two times I went in for something specific. Naturally, A-zon has it, and with Prime, it’ll be here in a couple of days.
I’m not prone to wallowing in things Christmassy, but I have read a fair number of these. I’m surprised Maigret’s Christmas. a short story and one of my favorites, is missing.
