Will The Curse of the Sports Illustrated cover doom the Bills today when the face the Cincinnati Bengals? We’ll see. This issue of Sports Illustrated also includes a nice interview with Bills QB Ryan Fitzpatrick. Much is made of his Harvard University connection. To be perfectly honest, most Bills fans are still in shock with the team’s 3-0 start. No one predicted this. Most fans thought the Bills would be lucky to win five games this season. Back in 2008, the Bills had a 5-0 start. Then they played the Arizona Cardinals and Bills QB Trent Edwards got drilled into the carpet. After that concussion, Trent was never the same player. Anything can happen in the NFL so we’ll see if the Bills’ good fortune continues.
Uh oh, that is never a good sign. Let’s hope the Bills are prepared for anything today.
I don’t know if the Bills are prepared for anything, Jeff, but Bills fans are. We could win by 20 points or lose by 20 points.
Maybe the Bills will do better next week.
The SPORTS ILLUSTRATED curse is alive and well, Drongo. The Bills blew a 20-6 lead to lose to the Bengals. Next week, the Bills play the Dream Team: the Philadelphia Eagles!
The “Dream Team” is doing jsut as well as “America’s Team” (NOT!) the Cowboys, both 1-3.
Go Bills!
My mistake – the Cowboys are 2-2.
And the Giants pulled off an incredible come-back, Jeff! I can’t believe the Cowboys blew that big lead to allow the Detroit Lions to win. The Eagles will be gnashing their teeth and ready to fight for a win next week. The Eagles/Bills game is a sell-out so we can watch the clash. I expect the Eagles to be favored.
At least Detroit keep it’s streak going. No one (except the Dolphins) wins them all.
