Trouble comes to LEGOLAND and our hero Emmitt (Chris Pratt) and his love interest Lucy (Elizabeth Banks) try to save the day. But Lucy gets kidnapped by “aliens” and Emmitt has to take a trip to Systar to rescue her. On the way, Emmitt meets Rex Dangervest (also voiced by Pratt) and his spaceship run by raptors. Things get silly when the Evil Queen (Tiffany Haddish) wants to marry “Man of Bats” (Will Arnett). If you’re in the mood for some laughs and silliness, watch The LEGO Movie 2. GRADE: B+
We finally saw AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR. Can’t believe it was on your best movies list. Way, way too long and too many fight scenes. And all to leave it open for the next one to clean up (and, presumably, resurrect Loki and Quill and Dr. Strange and Gamora and the other “dead” characters).
Tonight we’ll watch the first of the new Judge Dee movies – my library had both of them.
Jeff, if you remember when I first saw THE AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR in May 2018, I gave it a grade of INCOMPLETE. That’s just the first half of this epic struggle. I think you’ll find the Judge Dee movies more entertaining.
During the trailer for this on TV the other day, I said to Barbara “I wonder how long it will be until George sees this? He liked the first one.“. Now we know. I’ll bet the theater was packed with kiddies.
Rick, you’re right. Our AMC theater audience was mostly filled with little tykes…and a few adults.
There is a debate among model builders as to whether Legos are models or not! I say not! No interest in this movie!
Bob, your grandkids might enjoy THE LEGO MOVIE 2.
