Torchlight is a video game (I have the PC version) cloned from DIABLO and DIABLO 2. Torchlight sends you on quests in the scary caverns. You can choose to be accompanied by a pet (I picked Spot, a dog). But by catching fish in the frequent fishing holes, you can feed the fish to your pet and they will take on new forms and abilities. Yes, this is just mindless fun. I find it very relaxing to play Torchlight about 20 minutes at a time. The game allows you to save anywhere at anytime (many games don’t). If you’re a gamer who wants a well designed game (2 of the guys who worked on DIABLO helped to design Torchlight) that provides plenty of entertainment, pick up a copy of Torchlight. Great game play and wonderful graphics. I love the guitar based soundtrack, too! I bought my copy at Sam’s Club for $15. A bargain! GRADE: B+
George Kelley…stimulating the economy since 1969.
😉
This economy sure needs MORE stimulation, Jeff! Could the Finale of 24 have been more boring?
So I gather 24 didn’t end with (excuse me) a bang? Too bad. George – I’m not a gamer, but I have a question here, do you know who did the artwork on the cover? The style looks very familiar to me, but I can’t place it.
24 ended with a whimper, Rick. Very disappointing. I checked the box that the CD-ROM came in, but there’s no artist credit. Maybe you can find it on the Torchlight web site.
Rick, there were a couple of things worth seeing – Jack biting off the weaselly Jason’s ear and Nixonian ex-President Logan blowing his brains out – but overall, this was the weakest season ever.
And they never discovered the rotting body of the murdered parole officer (don’t ask – a moronic subplot) in the wall at CTU.
My favorite 24 scene was Chloe tasering that guy in the bar, Jeff.
