The Biggest Wallace and Gromit fan I knew was Bill Crider. He loved these quirky films! And Bill would have loved watching Wallace and Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl, the new feature on Netflix.
This is the first new Wallace and Gromit in 16 years. With a 79-minute running time, Wallace and Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl brings back one of the most sinister villains: Feathers McGraw, the penguin who hijacked Wallace’s automatic slacks in The Wrong Trousers to commit a jewel heist.
Once the swivel-headed Norbot is powered up, the plot perks up and the Wallace and Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl earns its title. If you want to start the New Year out with some laughs, Wallace and Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl will make it happen. Are you a Wallace and Gromit fan? GRADE: B+
Big fan of W&G
Not so big a fan of Netflix, though
Dan, Netflix seems to be on a Power Trip with bringing NFL games, Boxing, and now W&G to its subscribers.
Not really. I watched one of them. Jackie is not a big fan.
Jeff, Bill Crider was a Wallace and Gromit enthusiast. I find their British humor delightful!
Not really, but the twins are. I’m sure they’ll managed to squeeze this in today or tomorrow before the return to Baton Rouge after being here for Christmas break.
Deb, it’s 20 degrees here with a 3 degree Wind Chill. Yet, we’re going out to lunch with a friend visiting from Florida. We may have to chip him out of his frozen car!
It is 39 now in North Carolina, George. It was 26 this morning in Fredericksburg. Fortunately, we left in time to miss the Arctic blast and snow coming to Virginia tomorrow. We’ll be in Georgia by then, and Florida on Monday.
Jeff, your timing is good! We’re going to be freezing for the next week. The Arctic Blast is settling in for a prologued stay in Western NY. Fortunately, most of the snow will fall south of Buffalo at the ski resorts who are happy to get it! Have a safe trip!
With an laughing audience at a theater maybe. But not sitting on my sofa alone.
Patti, audience participation is a big part of humor.
I enjoy humor by myself, or with few others, so that I don’t miss what’s being said…
Like Wallace and particularly long-suffering Gromit. Alice is even more enthusiastic.
Todd, I’m puzzled about why it took 16 YEARS for them to make another Wallace & Gromit film!
We used to watch these at Tankon, which was the only time I ever saw them! I liked them well enough, but I’m not sure I’d want to watch one for 79 minutes!
Bob, Bill Crider would watch a Wallace & Gromit film if it were 979 minutes!
Very amiable: “Melissa Villaseñor: Welp…What Now?” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yGUURrmYhYE
Watched it just last night. Very entertaining. Your B+ grade seems right on the mark.
It’s surprising how much expressiveness they can get out of Gromit and Feathers when they never speak a single word.
… could have done without most of that police subplot though …
Jee Jay, I agree with you on the police subplot. Not necessary. Let’s hope we don’t have to wait another 16 years for another Wallace & Gromit film!
