Patrick and I have been talking about updating this blog and now we’ve decided to make the changes toward the end of October. The end result is that blog will be down for about a week. I just wanted to give you a heads-up to what’s in the works. We’re going to try to make this blog more visually appealing. But the mission to bring you reviews and insights into books, CDs, DVDs, movies, concerts, and consumer products won’t change. This blog is here to inform you, entertain you, and make you smile.
October 24 to the end of the month would be a good time to do it as we’ll be out of town in Vegas and Arizona.
😉
I’m sure whatever you guys come up with will be fine, as long as the entertaining content doesn’t change.
Patrick and I are focused on the “look & feeL” of the blog, Jeff. October 24 to end of the month sounds good to me. I’ll check with Patrick to see if those dates work for him.
Will Patrick have the time along with all his new duties?
I suspect Patrick has cloned himself, Bill. I have no idea how he teaches classes, does research, flies around the world to present papers at conferences, and still has time to tweak my blog.
Tweak My Blog WBAGNFARB.
We’ll put you on our Waiting list, Jerry.
Would he care to visit Detroit on his way west. I have a blog just waiting for him.
Patti, wait and see what the updates and changes happen to my blog before you decide you want a web site make-over by Patrick.
It does this already, and “more visually appealing” may sound nice but isn’t really necessary. Unless bells and whistles have a reason for being, they’re just wasted bandwidth. I believe in Keep It Simple. You’ll notice my blog isn’t very woo-woo.
My blog isn’t too woo-woo, either, Rick. But after three years it’s time for a face-lift.
I’ve tried several things over the years, but like Richard, I usually revert back to the simple and unadorned. That’s just me, I suppose.
This website is already plenty appealing but I’ll look forward to seeing the renovation. Thanks for all the entertainment over the years.
I’ll try to keep this blog entertaining despite the face-lift, Beth.
Awesome news! My vote is for the ability to sign up for comments and emailed posts. 🙂
I will certainly suggest signing up for comments and emailed posts to Patrick, Carl. He’s the real IT guy for this blog.
