Did you like WOLF HALL, George? That one has been calling to us but Mantel’s earlier books were hard to get into so it sits.

Yes, I have WOLF HALL sitting on my book stack, too, Patti. For the same reason. But the sequel to WOLF HALL, BRING UP THE BODIES, is the favorite to win the BOOKER PRIZE so I figure the time to read these two tomes is soon.

I haven’t read the Hilary Mantel books yet either. And I really have to try Wodehouse again.
Right now I’m reading In the Garden of Beasts by Erik Larson. WOW! Great writer, amazing story.

I’ll be curious to see your review of the Toobin book. Last week I got a couple of those Al Conroy (Marvin Albert) westerns discussed on various blogs. I read my first Alice Munro collection (her first book, DANCE OF THE HAPPY SHADES) and Megan Abbott’s tense DARE ME. I’ll also reading stories by Updike and Philip K. Dick and Bill Crider’s latest Sheriff Rhodes book. The new Lee Childs is sitting on the shelf, among others….

Your stacks look a lot like my stacks of books, Jeff! The Obama-Care decision by the Supreme Court was such a surprise that I want to know why Roberts changed his vote. Conservatives are still furious at Roberts!
