These days, this is probably the only Batman movie I’d sit through!

We’ve started watching JESSICA JONES on Netflix. I suppose DAREDEVIL and LUKE CAGE are next.

We’re watching BOSCH and CATASTROPHE or Amazon Prime. I couldn’t stand season 2 of FORTITUDE so dropped it.

We have a ton of Netflix shows too. We watch an episode of MIDSOMER MURDERS on Saturdays (and there are over 100 of them!), and have a whole list of others.

And we’re catching up with Season 4 of THE WIRE (HBO On Demand).

No new summer series interest me either.

Jeff, I’ve heard mixed reviews of BOSCH so it’s on the back burner. I have several DVD sets of MIDSOMER MURDERS that I need to watch.

Jackie marvels at all these English villages being filled with awful people, but the scenery is nice and there are lots of guest stars.

I had no problem with season one of Bosch. Also enjoyed Amazon series Sneaky Pete.

Skip SEASON ONE OF BOSCH,. The next two are great.
LEGO Batman creeps me out. I saw it with Kevin, who adores it.

Season One had Bosch in a cat & mouse game with a serial killer. I wouldn’t say that it isn’t worth watching – especially for the acting – but it was pretty nasty and rather creepy.

It’s actually No more expensive for us to have all the pay channels (HBO, Showtime, etc.) than just one. Netflix is a monthly charge of course, as is Amazon Prime (less than $10 a month?). So yeah, overall I’m sure you’d say we pay a lot, but we have the Fios TV, internet, etc. and we never go to the movies except in Florida in the winter.

Also, by turning it off for the two months we’re away we saved hundreds of dollars this winter. And what else do we have to spend our money on?

Jeff, right now I’m down to two TV programs: FARGO and DOCTOR WHO. Of course, I’ll take some time today to watch Jeff Sessions squirm under the Senate questioning of his poor memory and his contacts with the Russians.

We got our Comcast bill today. One month: $210 . That’s for internet service, landline and cable. The latter is the “preferred” plan, which gives us the regular cable stuff plus HBO and STARZ, plus TCM. No DVR, that would cost another $20/month. (!) HULU would cost extra, as would Amazon streaming, as would Netflix streaming plus any other services. Added up, we figure we’d have to pay in excess of $350 a month, which we’re not willing to do. Add to that, of course, the months Verizon bill.

It’s just an example of how Comcast really lays on the screws.

Rick, ours is about $15 more than yours, but with two DVRs (with about 800 hours capacity). And it’s New York, which costs more in general.

I pay $190 for Comcast get every station and DVR. I get Amazon streaming since I am a Amazon Prime member. I pay extra for Netflix. It is a lot of money but I live alone and spend most of my time at home so I get a lot of use for it. I can only read so much.
