I won’t lose any sleep about him and his legal problems (all of them self-created and the product of his rapacious greed). Also, he’s a grifter in a country where 40% of the voting public think he walks on water, so he’ll have no trouble coming up with some new scam to fleece the rubes, believe me.
Deb, Trump is currently fleecing his followers with his “Legal Defense Fund” to challenge votes in key states. Of course, the courts have rejected all of Trump’s frivolous law suits. And, the “fine print” on the donations to the Fund state that part of the money will go to the RNC and part of the money can be used for any purpose Trump feels like. Yet, suckers are contributing their hard-earned money to this fraud.
Jeff Meyerson
Deb, I can picture him on Fifth Avenue with a cardboard box, grabbing the rubes as they walk by: “You look like someone looking for a deal.I tell you what I’m gonna do.”
Patti—I think one of the many problems with Trump is that he brings out the worst in everyone: both his supporters/enablers and those of us who think he’s the worst president ever. There’s not a single person who can claim in any way that Trump made them a better person. He brings out the racist/misogynist/bullying instincts of those who love him and a welter of negative emotions from those who hate him and what he’s done to our democracy in four short years. He’s an utter black hole of negativity without a single positive redeeming trait.
I agree. I hated Nixon, but compared to Trump, he was a piker.
Michael Padgett
Trump is more adept at appealing to really stupid people than any other politician in my lifetime. So we’re left with 70 million people who are, at worst, outright Fascists or, at best, have no problem with a president who is one. Plus a political party that’s learned his tricks and is putting them into action. Even with Trump gone the future does not look bright.
Michael, Trump could not have gotten away with his wicked actions without his Republican Party accomplices. Moscow Mitch and his caucus have ruined our Federal Court system for a generation!
Apparently, too many of our fellow citizens don’t read and can’t seem to understand the obvious. If votes came in from early voting or mail in (and absentee) voting, they weren’t counted until after Election Day by order of the State Legislatures in Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Wisconsin. That DOES NOT MEAN the votes do not have to be counted and added to the Election Day tally, OK? Is that really too hard to understand? Because you keep hearing from people that Trump was winning on November 3 when all of a sudden – poof! Magic! – all these other ballots just “turned up” out of nowhere.
No, they didn’t. THEY WERE SITTING THERE WAITING TO BE COUNTED as in EVERY OTHER ELECTION. There were just more of them this year, because of the pandemic and because everyone wanted to vote early to make sure their votes counted.
If there is anything in the above that is too hard to understand, you need a refresher course in civics, or you are not smart enough to have a vote.
Jeff, Trump was adept at appealing to “low-information voters” who would believe anything he told them. And, of course, most of what Trump told them were lies.
Totally agree with you all and hope that ByeDon will be able to work on the healthcare – and on the good relations with Europe which were destroyed by Donald.
I know only one US citizen who openly said he voted for Trump and I don’t get it why, he’s not a stupid person.
Wolf, we have friends and family who voted for Trump. Inexplicable given his record (or non-record) of dubious accomplishments like blowing up Environmental regulations and encouraging groups like the Proud Boys and QAnon.
Meanwhile, there’s this pandemic going on, which the Fed does nothing about. Here, we just went back to level 1, bars and restaurants closed, groups no larger than 6, etc. I fear a lot of businesses won’t be able to survive a second shutdown. As for the T-loser, good riddance, except he’ll hang around and shoot his mouth of for years, while McConnell runs the country by blocking everything Biden tries to do.
Rick, if you know anyone who lives in Georgia, contact them and urge them to vote in the January Run-off Senate Elections. Trump and his Coronavirus Task Force have given up on Covid-19. Now, our local hospitals are running low on Personal Proteciive Equipment. What a mess!
I’ve sent a donation to both of the senate campaigns in GA. I also sent a donation to the Del. Humane Assoc., source of our first rescue DOTUS.
I don’t think I’ve ever hated someone as much as the POS in the WH. His lies number in the thousands, and idiots believe him and his claims of fake news, even when he’s shown on tape lying his big fat ass off. His lack of action re: covid and anti masking has caused too many deaths.
I have an idea for a SNL skit: Jan 21, 2021. #45 refuses to leave, so champ and major are called in to drag him out by his big fat ass.
I can’t wait for the day after Biden is inaugurated and the various atty generals go after this grifter.
I have heard a rumor he’ll resign so Pence can pardon him.
Maggie, I have a nephew who lives in Georgia (he works for a software company) and I called him to ask him if he was going to vote in the January Run-off Elections. “Hell, yes!” he replied. “I’m voting for Ossoff and Warnock!” If you know anyone in Georgia, you might want to give them a nudge.
He’s so greedy he gives away his salary to charity!
He’s so racist he hires people of color, including the backstabber Amarossa!
He’s so misogynistic he hires women for key positions!
yes he is. How many millions has the POS spent on his golfing trips, and you’ve probably ignored all the expenses he’s charged to the US taxpayer for his businesses, extremely high room rates and even charging for water.
Your finally showing your racism loud and clear napier Hopefully you’ll be one of the trumpanzees leaving this country after his loss (and probable jail)
“Oh, no. I’M A LOSER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”
Jeff, Trump is in denial, but in a few weeks he’ll be out of the White House and facing numerous legal problems.
I won’t lose any sleep about him and his legal problems (all of them self-created and the product of his rapacious greed). Also, he’s a grifter in a country where 40% of the voting public think he walks on water, so he’ll have no trouble coming up with some new scam to fleece the rubes, believe me.

Or maybe a three card monte dealer.
“Nobody knew Health Care could be so complicated!”
Dan, Trump’s solution to the complexity of Heath Care was to try to eliminate the Affordable Care Act.
He is perhaps the first person I have truly hated in my lifetime and I will be glad to feel that hatred ebb away as he does.

Deb, in my opinion Trump is the worst President in my lifetime. I despised Richard Nixon, but Trump exceeds Nixon in hellacious behavior.
Patti, your animosity was shared by 75 million Americans. But, I worry about the 70+ million voters who wanted four more years of Trump!
I agree. I hated Nixon, but compared to Trump, he was a piker.
