I’ve been a fan of Celtic Woman over the years. This latest concert DVD was filmed in 2013 in South Bend, Indiana. If you like bagpipers and Irish step dancers, there’s plenty here to enjoy. My only quibble is that I wish there was a more ambitious selection of songs. I enjoy the songs they sing on this DVD, but it’s a pretty safe list of standards. A little boldness would have made this concert even more enjoying. GRADE: B+

Adding to my impression that you are the most eclectic man on earth.
Patti, who wouldn’t like four beautiful women singing beautiful music.
You say they are standards, but I’ve only even heard of two of them, Danny Boy and Ave Maria. Generally speaking Keltic music isn’t my choice of musical entertainment.
Rick, trust me, those Celtic songs are part of most groups’ repertoire in this genre.
Yes, they are pretty and sing well, but every time I come across them while channel surfing I keep going.
Bob, the Celtic Woman group is a fixture on PBS. I’m sure this concert will show up during the next fund-raising cycle.
I love this group. Mary and I got to see them live several years ago in St. Louis. It was a really fun evening. I didn’t realize they had a new DVD out. Will have to pick this one up.
What, no Yanni?
Carl, I’ve seen Celtic Woman in concert, too. They put on a great performance!
Bob, Celtic Woman is way better than Yanni!
