The Buffalo Bills let a win slip away in Sunday’s Kansas City game. The Bills had a 10-point lead yet couldn’t close out the Chiefs. A couple of late turnovers gave Kansas City the opening to score…and they did to beat the Bills 17-13. Brutal. Now, in a quick-turnaround, the Bills travel to Miami to take on the Dolphins in tonight’s Thursday Night Football game. Both teams are desperate for a win. The loser will be pretty much out of the Playoff race.
If Detroit did it so can Buffalo!
Patti, I like your logic! But the Lions are a better team than the Bills.
Good luck, but the Dolphins are looking better right now. And anyway, the Patriots are on a roll.
Jeff, some Bills fans still harbor hopes of a Wild Card Playoff berth. But I’m not one of them for the reasons you cited.
Last season you were hoping for a .500 season, and now you want the playoffs? Do’t get greedy, George, he team is improving, that’s enough for this year.
Rick, my problem with the Bills is that they are losing games to teams they should have beaten (Texans, Chiefs, etc.). Poor play calling is partly to blame.
By the way: Cold enough for you? Got Big Orange ready to go? We had freezing rain this morning, our hill too icy to drive down (said Barbara, the road drivability expert). The weather people said 3 inches of snow, but they seem to always exaggerate and predict the worse case scenario. Maybe they just like to see people panic…
Rick, we’re getting snow flurries right now. Big Orange is ready!
It has gotten way colder and nasty looking here, but it is dry at least, though they are predicting rain overnight (snow in the higher elevations).
Jeff, we started out with little snow flakes this morning. The snow flakes are much larger and falling faster for my drive home.
The predicted bad weather has not appeared. It’s windy with a light drizzle, no big deal for here. Still, I bet it’s a lot nicer in Long Beach today. Wish we were there (you, me, Jeff)
The home team will win. You can bet your stock portfolio on that.
Hey Rick, your worst nightmare came true here today – I had EIGHT books on hold come in to the library all at once!
Way to go, Jeff! I just finished the second to last one I have yesterday and am halfway through the last one – for now. Maybe some short stories by tomorrow night.
George, it’s a field goal contest, what’s up with that?? The Bills need some red zone offense.
Rick, I suspect the new owner of the Bills saw the mediocrity of the team and coaching staff last night in Miami. Changes will be made.
As usual the Bills kept it close for over a half, then the roof fell in. Too bad.
Jeff, the Bills are not a good team. The new owner needs to make changes.
