Here’s my Bargain of the Week: Fantastic 4, Fantastic 4: Rise of the Silver Surfer, Electra, and Daredevil. BJ’s Warehouse had this set priced at $7.99. That’s $2 per movie. Okay, I admit Fantastic 4: Rise of the Silver Surfer is a clunker. But the other three movies are worth watching. Daredevil is returning as a Netflix series next month. There’s a new Fantastic 4 movie scheduled for release August 7, 2015. I wish MARVEL would reboot Electra. If you’re looking for a value-priced package, this is it.
Marvel is minting money these days. so who knows? Almost everything they do succeeds.
Jeff, since Disney bought MARVEL, they’re been mining the older films and offering them at attractive prices. Minting money indeed. We woke up to an inch of snow this morning. Winter is back.
Fortunately, by the time we got to D.C. it was all rain, though there was a little snow on grassy surfaces. They got four inches in New York on Friday but by the time we arrived yesterday afternoon it was again reduced to the grass. But it is definitely cold again. It’s good to be home but I miss the Florida warmth.
Jeff, I miss seeing my lawn. I thought we were through with snow…but I was wrong.
The reason I don’t buy movies like these is I would watch them once, maybe and then they would just take space and gather dust.
Rick, I buy these movies, watch them, then donate the DVDs to the Library (and get a nice tax deduction).
George, I have seen all these films though I wish there was a Daredevil 2. I like the superhero and I thought Ben Affleck looked just right as the blind Matt Murdock in the film version.
Prashant, I agree with you on Ben Affleck. MARVEL has produced a mini-series of DAREDEVIL that will be released on Netflix in April. I’m eager to check that out.
