I was on the bubble about seeing Baby Driver until Patti Abbott said she liked it. Since this is CAPER/HEIST WEEK for FRIDAY’S FORGOTTEN BOOKS, Baby Driver fits right in with its bank robbery, armored car theft, and post office burglary.
The cast is great: Ansel Elgort, Kevin Spacey, Lily James, Eiza González, Jon Hamm, Jamie Foxx and Jon Bernthal. Edgar Wright wrote the script and directed the movie. If you’re in the mood for action, car chases, and explosions you’ll love Baby Driver. GRADE: B

I enjoyed this a lot. A fun summer popcorn movie. Could have done without Jon Berenthal who somehow rubs me the wrong way in everything he’s done. I would give it a B+.
Steve, I had to deduct points for some of the weaker songs.
Sounds worth a look.
Jeff, you and Jackie would enjoy BABY DRIVER.
I did enjoy it although it certainly is not a film with a lot of depth if that’s what you’re looking for. But the love story is cute and the interweaving of music and action is superb. I would see it again in fact.
Patti, your positive comment about BABY DRIVER convinced us to see the movie. Diane told me she would see BABY DRIVER again, too.
We had a chance to see a different movie today since Spiderman was sold out, and Baby Driver was an option, but we passed! Linda’s not a fan of this kind of flick (but that doesn’t jibe with her wanting to see Spiderman)! The song list convinces me I’ll dislike 80% of the soundtrack!
Bob, the music in BABY DRIVER can be annoying. It’s pretty much constant through the entire film. I like many of the songs, but there are a lot of clunkers.
