Surprisingly, the Buffalo Bills are 9 1/2 point favorites over the New York Jets. What a wild and weird Off Season the Buffalo Bills experienced! Head Coach Rex Ryan was fired after last season’s debacles. New Head Coach, Sean McDermott, former Defensive Coordinator with the Carolina Panthers, contends with personnel problems. New General Manager, Brandon Beane (also from the Carolina Panthers), traded away the Bills’s best player, often injured Wide Receiver Sammy Watkins. Beane also traded the Bills’s best cornerback, Ronald Darby, to the Eagles for a wide receiver who was injured in his first Bills practice. Bad Luck continues to dog the Bills.
In the Third Preseason Game, two of the three Bills Quarterbacks got concussions. Today, which QB will start against the Jets depends on where the players are in their Concussion Protocols. How will your favorite NFL team fare today?
The Cowboys will probably lose to the Giants. It’s become a tradition.
Bill, when Rex Ryan was asked if he’s going to watch today’s Jets vs. Bills game, he answered, “No, there are plenty of better games to watch.”
No way, Bill. Now that Jerry Jones found a
crookedfriendly judge who says it’s OK for Ezekiel Elliott to beat up his girlfriend and still play despite his upheld 6-game suspension, I expect the Giants to lose as they usually do on Opening Night in Arlington. (Yes, they did win last year, but that was a fluke.)George, the Jets have more quarterback issues than the Bills, but I must admit the point spread is pretty large.
Jeff, other than LeSean McCoy, the Bills’ gifted running back, the offense doesn’t have any other scoring threats.
I’m hoping the pack wins. I hope the LA Rams win. don’t know who the la judases play, and don’t give a hoot.
Maggie, the Packers are going to run into trouble with Seattle. The Rams are a mystery team to me. They could win Big or lose Big.
The Saints don’t play until tomorrow night when they take on the Vikings in Minnesota. Meanwhile, I’m simultaneously watching hurricane Irma coverage on the Weather Channel and following the unbelievable end-of-season collapse of the L.A. Dodgers.
Deb, I have a sister and brother-in-law hunkered down in Clearwater, FL. I urged them last week to leave Florida, but they decided to “ride it out.” I’m impressed that the Cleveland Indians have won 17 games in a row!
Even Maggie is against Seattle. What did Seattle ever do to you, Maggie? I don’t know who will win the Seahawks-Packers game, and won’t be watching, as I’ll be otherwise engaged today. At least it’s cooler today, though back to 90s tomorrow. Fires still awful, smoke makes us keep windows closed.
My brother said you had a little rain, Rick, and he found it easier to breathe.
If it helps any, I will be rooting for the Seahawks.
it sprinkled for about 15 minutes. Barely got the street wet. Not enough to matter or do any good, at least at our house.
Nothing against seahawks, but the Packers are my team, have been for the last 2 years and one of my fav’s for many years (any team that is owned by the town, and whose fans wear cheese heads are ok with me)
Rick, it was Perfect Football Weather here in Western NY! Sunny with temps in the mid-60s. And, the Bills won!
My brother is much closer to the center than you are. He said “Been cooler past few days, and air quality improved.”
I checked, and he did say “a bit” of rain.
So the Bills won by 9 but didn’t quite cover the spread.
Maggie, the Chargers play in Denver on Monday night.
Jeff, the Bills struggled for that win. I’m not optimistic about their game next week against the Carolina Panthers.
trying to watch the packer game, but cox is broadcasting it in Spanish half an hour with an incompetent tech support and they blamed it on the TV station, who verified they are showing it in English.
I gave up on the hapless Seahawks when it hit 14-6!
Bob, the Packers seem to have the Seahowks’ number.
It’s definitely in English here.
Jeff, we’re getting the Seahawks vs. Packers game in English, too.
Well, you can celebrate, Maggie. The Seahawks lost 9-17 Packers.
