The No. 4 Houston Texans face the No. 2 Kansas City Chiefs with the Chiefs favored by 9 1/2 points. I’m going with the well rested Chiefs. In the second game, the No. 5 Seattle Seahawks take on the No. 2 Green Bay Packers. The Seahawks are 4-point underdogs. As I mentioned to Cap’n Bob, Aaron Rodgers is NOT the Aaron Rodgers of old. I’m taking the points and the Seahawks. Who do you think will win today?
Game one: Kansas City. Game two: who knows? It depends which team shows up. Frankly, I think neither of them is as good as their won/lost records would indicate, but on any given Sunday… My record for picking is not that great, but if I had to choose, it would be the Seahawks.
Jeff, after the upset in Baltimore last night, I have NO firm convictions on who will win these games. San Francisco took care of business with the Vikings, but now the world has to come to grips with the reality of the Tennessee Titans!
After last night’s shock Titans’ win, I’m really not sure about anything being a lock in the NFL right now. I think the Chiefs have the edge in their game, but I’m really on the fence with the Packers-Seahawks game. I think weather will be a factor—although, of course, Seattle isn’t exactly in the sunbelt. If the weather is truly awful, I gave the edge to the Packers, but either way I think it will be a close game.
Deb, I know you’re still feeling the after-effects of last weekend’s game (Bills fans are still sad, too), but Ravens fans have to be in total shock. The Ravens were supposed to go to the Super Bowl!
GO SEAHAWKS!
I’m don’t know if they can win, it depends on how accurate Rogers is and how well the Seahawks O-line holds up. I’m rooting for the Seahawks, but afraid of the Pack.
Yesterday? Wow. The Titans are so tough, Baltimore played very poorly. I think Jackson had gotten too full of himself, so maybe this will be good for the team next year. Whomever plays Tennessee will have their hands full.
Looks like yesterday all over again. 24-0? Wow.
Once the Chiefs woke up, it was goodnight, nurse for the Texans.
That’s what I kept waiting for yesterday, the Ravens to wake up.
I’m pretty sure that that was the first time ever the John Harbaugh Ravens lost after a bye week.
Jeff, John Harbaugh looked stunned on the sidelines.
Seattle is showing no sign of being able to stop Green Bay.
Jeff, it looks like the Packers have gone into hibernation.
Well, that’s that. Too many injuries this season, too little offensive line improvement. Wilson just can’t do it all, in spite of trying.
Rick, the Seahawks–especially Russell Wilson–made a valiant effort in Green Bay. But, it was not to be…
