MINNESOTA VIKINGS VS. SAN FRANCISCO 49ers (4:35 P.M. ET ON NBC) and TENNESSEE TITANS VS. BALTIMORE RAVENS (8:15 P.M. ET on CBS)

Since the Buffalo Bills lost 22-19 to the Houston Texans last Saturday, I have no NFL team in the Playoffs now. But I would bet on the San Francisco 49ers (-7 points) to defeat the Minnesota Vikings,. In the late game, I would bet on the No. 1 Baltimore Ravens (-9 1/2 points) to defeat the Tennessee Titans. Who do you think will win these games?

I’m with you: The 49ers over the Vikings (although San Francisco better not make the mistake of underestimating Minnesota the way New Orleans did last week) and the Ravens over the Titans. I’ll probably check in on the games, but with the Saints out, I’m not really rooting for any team. Right now around these parts we’re gripped by LSU fever. Our school district is even permitting students and staff in all parish public schools to wear LSU paraphernalia on Monday (which is something considering almost all of our schools have a required uniform for their students).

Well, I was very disappointed by the performance (such as it was) by the Saints this week, but I don’t think the 49ers or Ravens will have much trouble moving on to the Conference Championships next week.

I can predict unequivocally that the Tigers will win on Monday, however.

That has really been proven true in the second half, as the fresher 49ers are just running play after play and the Vikings unable to stop them.

Jeff, the Vikings looked like they ran out of gas in the Second Half. But the Titans look ominously good! Watch out, Ravens!

The Divisional round is frequently the most exciting NFL weekend of the year, although it’ll be tough to match last weekend’s games. I think SF and Baltimore will eventually meet in the Super Bowl even though I’m sorta pulling for KC. As an SEC guy I’ll be pulling for Deb’s Tigers over those other Tigers. I’m sick of Clemson, especially Swinney’s incessant Trump level whining.

I know Jeff Smith must be in the same shock as the rest of us. Or maybe they should have been paying better attention to what they did in New England last week.

    Wow, a shocker.

Never could get their game going. All game I kept thinking if they could just get in gear, they can score points in a hurry. Never happened.

Ann even dyed her hair purple for the game, too.

Jeff, I remember Lamar Jackson struggling in a Playoff game a year ago against the Chargers. I’m sure Ann looks beautiful in purple!
