Jerry, the Subaru Crosstrek is a compact SUV so only a couple of bodies will fit in the trunk! Diane loves the ease of getting in and out of it. Now, we just have to wait for Katie to fly home with her plates to drive the Nissan Altima to Boston.
Yes! Welcome to the happy club of Subaru drivers, Diane. We were just discussing how when we got our first Forester (after driving a Legacy sedan for several years), it was so little known then (2005) that I actually had people come up to me on the way to Florida to ask what the heck it was. The few other Subaru drivers felt like we were in an exclusive club. Now they’re everywhere, even Florida. In fact, this year we saw a bunch of bigger Ascents in Florida, way more than the few we see here.
Congratulations. I have a Subaru Forester thanks to the Meyersons recommendation. I bought it new dec 2017 and it has a bit less than 50k miles on it. No problems other than routine maintenance.
I got a Subaru Crosstrek about 18 months ago and so far it’s doing fine! It has one feature I hate, engine and braking controls! There’s a button on the lower left of the dashboard that switches it off, and an indicator by the speedometer that indicates its status! It’s a circle with an arrow, IIRC!
Bob, both Diane and I HATE that “turn off your engine” feature. Diane will press that button that turns it off each time she drives the Crosstrek! But I wish we could turn it off PERMANENTLY!
The Crosstrek SUV looks great, George! Does Diane realize how many bodies can fit in the=at trunk?

Happy Birthday, Diane! Julia got a Subaru Forester in February and loves it. I hope your new car gives you many miles of trouble-free travel.
Deb, the Subaru Crosstrek is an early Birthday present. Diane’s 77th Birthday is July 13. I figured…why wait!

Jeff, Katie told Diane, “Everyone in Boston drives Subarus!” So far, Diane loves it!

Maggie, many people we know have praised their Subarus!

I almost forgot: happy birthday to Diane!
Bob, Diane’s Birthday is July 13. I just gave her the Crosstrek early!
You briefly lingered over an XKE, but prudence prevailed…
Todd, it helped that several of our friends own Subarus and love them!
