I’ve been a fan of Phil and Kaja Foglio’s Agatha Heterodyne series for years. The Foglio’s have a graphic novel series and these print novels published by Night Shade Books. I like them both. Part Steampunk and part slap-stick comedy, these books present a genius woman, Agatha, as she tries to discover her powers. However, Agatha has plenty of enemies–some wacky and some deadly. In this latest volume, Agatha enters the Heterodyne Castle where its artificial intelligence has been damaged and fragmented into twelve “personalities.” Agatha needs to “fix” the Castle before an invading army destroys her. If you’re a fan of action and adventure, Agatha H and the Voice of the Castle is a lot of fun. If you’re interested in the graphic novels, you can read them for FREE at www.girlgeniusonline.com. GRADE: B+
I’ve been meaning to try one of these since the last time you mentioned it. I ordered #1 from the library.
Jeff, you might also want to check out http://www.girlgeniusonline.com to get the graphic novel flavor, too.
Looks like fun.
Patti, Agatha is a fun character. This is fluff, but entertaining fluff.
I also did a review of one of these, which you and Jeff saw, it was the first one in the series.
Rick, I enjoy the Night Shade Books novels and the graphic novels. Agatha reminds me of Diane.
