ATLANTA FALCONS VS. BUFFALO BILLS

After the Buffalo Bills beat the New England Patriots 33-21 despite a depleted roster because Covid-19 infections, it would be natural for the Bills to have a let-down. While the 9-6 Bills are favored over the 7-8 Atlanta Falcons by 11 points, upsets are common at this part of the NFL season. Nervous Bills fans will be glued to their TV sets for this one. Those 70,000 Bills fans who go to Highmark Stadium to watch the game in-person will have to contend with 15 degree windchills. How will your favorite NFL perform today?

Ugh, don’t ask. The Giants are getting worse, not better, and the over/under is more “will the Giants score at all” in Chicago against the Bears.

    The odds favor another loss.

Good luck to the Bills. The Falcons are in indoor team.

I was right. The Giants have scored 3 points. So glad we are on the road and missed it.

Jeff, the Bills struggled with the Falcons, but finally pulled the game out. Next week, the Bills need to beat the Jets to win the AFC East and get a home Playoff game.

My team (although I don’t claim them) will be getting their asses kicked in Buffalo today. So take it easy. You can nap through this one.

Michael, I’ll have a book in my lap during the Falcons vs. Bills game. Given today’s arctic weather conditions, I don’t expect a lot of scoring by either team.

After last week’s ignominious 20-3 loss to the Dolphins, the 7-8 Saints (who haven’t scored a touchdown in their last two games) host the 5-10 Panthers in the Superdome. Both teams are limping their way to the end of the season—and there’s been sports-media chatter that the Saints are going to try to acquire Russell Wilson in the off-season. Of course, that won’t help them today. I don’t even know if I’ll watch the game: I still have Christmas decorations to box up and I plan to make a big pot of chicken-vegetable soup for my lunches next week (back to work after the Christmas break, alas).

Deb, Diane is resisting de-Christmastizing the house…at least for another week. Diane loves her Christmas tree and all the decorations around the house. So she’s extending Christmas here for another seven days or so. With Omicron running rampant here, we’re going to spend most of next week hunkered down. Love soup! I suspect there will be a lot of player movement in the Off Season. And a lot of NFL coaches looking for new jobs.

Everyone seems to think Wilson is on the market, but he has said he’d like to finish out his career in Seattle if some changes are made (improve O-line, better safeties). I guess we’ll see. Since the Seahawks have traded away their 1st round draft choice, they won’t be picking up a college star replacement, that’s for sure.

Rick, I doubt if the the Vikings will win tonight since their QB, Kirk Cousins, tested positive for Covid-19 and won’t be playing in the game.

Rick, had Kirk Cousins played in this game, it would have been the Battle of the Anti-Vaxers. At Half-time the Packers are beating the Vikes 20-3.

Bills won, Seahawks are running wild over the hapless Lions! Most of the other results haven’t pleased me! The Rose Bowl ended well! I wish I’d stayed around for the second half, although I saw highlights later!

I’m with Rick. Aaron Rodgers (like Kyrie Irving and the other morons) should not be allowed to play unless he gets vaccinated.

Some good news today: the Bills won, the Buccaneers barely beat the Jets, the Chiefs lost, Miami got slaughtered, and the hated Cowboys are losing.

Jeff, there were a lot of upsets today. Atlanta was beating the Bills at Half-time 15-14, but the Bills made some adjustments to engineer a 29-15 win.
