BEST MICROWAVE POPCORN

EAT THIS, NOT THAT and the EATTHIS.COM web site recommended these two brands of microwave popcorn. I confess I’m addicted to microwave popcorn, but I’d like to eat something that tastes good and is marginally healthy. Both of these recommendations fit the bill. If you like plain vanilla microwave popcorn, the SMART BALANCE LIGHT BUTTER is the option to choose. If you want something with more of a kick, then try the ORVILLE REDENBACHER’S GOURMET MICROVWAVABLE POPCORN WITH BUTTER, SALT & CRACKED PEPPER. Yummy!

Jackie doesn’t like butter (that you can taste) in anything.

We eat the Orville Redenbacher’s all the time; good stuff and no guilt!

Oh, and she loved the EAT THIS, NOT THAT book after I gave it to her to read on your recommendation.

I’m a fan of EAT THIS, NOT THAT! Tell Jackie she needs to check out the EATTHIS.COM web site because sometimes their recommendations are updated and changed.

Redernbacher’s Light Kettle Corn is also good. When we’re watching movies, the kids consume it by the (very large) bowl. We can easily go through an entire box (10 bags) in a weekend.

I love REDENBACHER’S Light Kettle Corn, too, Deb. But, as a diabetic, I have to watch the carbs. The SMART BALANCE only has 16 grams of carbohydrate.

The interaction of the bag and the oils probably makes it all bad for us, but I should look into the Smart Balance (liking their products generally)…I tend to eat SmartFood more often than microwave popcorn, and would eat Cape Cod ahead of SmartFood if I could find it any longer, but do indulge in the hot bags from time to time. Thanks for the recs!

I’m always on the lookout for low carb, good tasting snacks, Todd. The SMART BALANCE qualifies as low carb and it’s delicious.

Yes, last night, and thanks so much for taking on FFB. I am still jet-lagged but had a fantastic time. Looking forward to the end of June when I will bring you Krogers Microwave Popcorn.

I want butter and plenty of it. I want salt (or a salt substitute–just so it tastes salty), and I want it popped in oil. I can be healthful in other areas, but my popcorn has to be deadly. I had air popped popcorn without salt or butter once and it tasted like styrofoam.

When I was a kid, buttery popcorn with salt was one of the main reason to go see a movie, Bob. They knew how to make the best popcorn in the world at those theaters of yesteryear. Today, the popcorn is made by robots and tastes like Styrofoam. And they want $5 for a small bag!
