BORDERS BARGAINS: P. G. WODEHOUSE

Our BORDERS stores are selling everything at 50% off. Plus, BORDERS sent me an email that gave me an addition 15% off my total order. How could I resist these P. G. Wodehouse novels published by Overlook Press! For a pittance, I scooped up all the Wodehouse BORDERS had left. When the discount increases, I’ll go back and do some bottom fishing. The store was so crowded it’s clear plenty of people are tempted by these discounts.

I’m guessing BORDERS will have another price drop for Labor Day weekend, Patti. Our two BORDERS still have plenty of books left. The DVDs and music CDs are pretty well picked over.

Nice. Love those covers. I’ve read all the Jeeves & Wooster stories (as well as several other collections) and have the first of the novels. I guess we should have hit Borders while we were up there as there are no convenient ones near here.

Overlook Press does a nice job with their Wodehouse books, Jeff. Even though I’d read some of these titles before, I couldn’t resist buying them at these prices.

Our BORDERS have dropped their prices to $50% to 70% off, Rick. If you can find these wonderful Overlook Press hardcovers at these discounted prices, don’t hesitate!

All the remaining Borders have cut prices thus. We’ll see if they cut to 90% by Labor Day. They apparently do want to vacate the stores early/mid September.

Our two BORDERS stores still have plenty of books, Todd. But at 50% to 70% off, the merchandise will really start to move. If the cut to 90% off, I may have to camp out at BORDERS!

I picked up the remaining Wodehouse volumes in that series on Friday, at 60% off, at the Bryn Mawr store; thanks for that suggestion. At 70% off, I was buying giveaway copies of BOULEVARD and FICTION and such that remained…I’ll wait for the next reduction to finally buy a copy of the current HARVARD REVIEW, which looks only marginally interesting (and at $13 cover price, has been the only fiction title to retain an actual stack of unsold copies). A small slew of other items, as well…the last two Joyce Carol Oates collections in the store, a few fantasy anthos, FREEDOM, the Amnesty International fiction/essay benefit, and suchlike…

I’m guessing BORDERS will drop prices again for Labor Day weekend, Todd. Glad you were able to pick up some Wodehouse volumes. I’ll be searching through the non-fiction and reference books for bargains.
