After two dismal losses, 52-28 to the Patriots and last week’s 45-3 beat-down by the 49ers, the woeful Bills face another team who could make mincemeat out of them. A Vegas odds-maker has made Bills Head Coach Chan Gailey the favorite to be the first NFL coach to be fired this season. The Bills are only 4 1/2-point underdogs in this game. I would have put the spread at 14 1/2-points! How is your favorite NFL team going to fare today?

With the general lack of hitting so far and now Derek Jeter down with a broken ankle things are looking bleak in The Bronx.
I expected them to beat the Orioles just because they managed to stay ahead of them throughout September and October but this is bad.

With my old teams, the Dodgers and Angels, not making the playoffs and our “local” team, the Astros, being an absolute travesty, I really don’t have a team I’m rooting for– I just enjoy baseball and always have. I can a tually enjoy watching the playoffs now because I don’t have a horse in the race and can just focus on the fun of the game. When I watch the Saints play, there’s always an associated anxiety…and don’t even get me started on watching the Presidential race!
We watched wall-to-wall political commercials on Ohio TV when we were in Cleveland for BOUCHERCON, Deb. I was never so happy to return to blue state NY where the only political commercials are about local politicians.

No, Jeff, the Canadians are much more intelligent about their political commercials. They seem to be much more limited than our wide-open campaigning.
The Seahawks have a tough one with the Patriots today, I expect them to get whupped. I’m not sure who the Niners play, but they are so good they have a great chance to win, whomever it is.
Darn, things look bad for the Niners. The (disliked by me) Giants are beating them. Da*&m. The Seahawks are also trailing. Looks like a disappointing week for me in the NFL. DRAT.
The Seahawks snatched victory from the jaws of defeat, Rick! Always glad to see the Patriots lose a close one.
I cannot believe the Giants dominated in San Francisco the way they did, especially after crappy losses to Dallas and Philadelphia. The Seahawks are close to pulling the upset over the Patriots and it looks like the Bills are going to win in overtime in Arizona.
